I have been a member here 2 years with no trims. I need a trim, but I would not have gotten this much growth with frequent trimming. My avatar pic is from 2 years ago when I joined. Oh, and it was very windy when the outside pics were taken so it was hard to get pics with my hair laying right.

Here is January 2008:

What a great progress  but why are the ends i different color? (just curious :) )

sahiba, as you can see in my avatar pic, I had red ends there too. I used to dye my hair a red brown color and I had quit dyeing it and was cutting off the color and growing out virgin hair. None of my hair is chemically altered now except the ends that are showing in the pictures as real light colored.

I have not trimmed my ends since the avatar pic so you can see the same hair ends from one pic to the 2 yrs. later pic.

jessie58, I added a pic from Jan.2008 and another from Jan.2009 to help people see the progression a little bit better :) Thanks for taking the time to look. I didn't know 2 years could fly by so fast when growing hair!

Wow, huge difference. The layers worked out for you.

Thanks, the layers are not quite right, of course, but I don't work outside the home so have the luxury of letting my hair be wild and free and uncut as i get to the longer length i want. I am not a stickler for any sort of perfection with regards to trimming things evenly. In fact, I prefer things more natural rather than too tailored looking. I will eventually get the ends in order but I know any hairdresser is going to want to do a major chop to even it all out. I can just see my length going, going, gone if someone got at my hair with scissors because of the uneven ends. I would rather have them all long and crazy than short and neat. I just don't like the look of straight across hemlines or too perfect hemline. Too fake in my opinion. We are all different..

My hair was about your length when I joined up here and I didn't trim and now it is this long 2 years later. Yours is growing fast too :)
