I have a favor to ask :o... My sisters friends wants to have short hair again and since she hasnt cut in over a year she wants to donate. Its not in bad condition as she doesnt heat style or color but its been neglected and given that she is maybe 2 inches past bsl and a curly i know that doesnt leave alot of hair once the damage has been taken off but she really wants to donate if she can. If you all could reccomend anyone BUT LoL and give a short description with a link to their page it would be very helpful. Im going to start looking myself but you all knwo more about the facts ifthes deplaces than i do. And i dont want her to end up donating somewhere where her hair will most likley be scrapped or if they do use it charge $150 USD for a short little wig. We both want it to be someplace that if it is used the wig will be donated or be sold based on a sliding scale of income.

Thanks all,
Natalia

Pantene Beautiful Lengths says it provides free human hair wigs to women who have lost their hair to cancer treatment.

You are welcome, Natalia. I am not aware of any controversies about that one.

This is also a REALLY good cause and they don't care about the quality of hair as much. As it doesn't give wigs to sick children it tends not to receive as much publicity but it'll save lives of animals who have been hurt by human actions.

(n.b not to say that the wig programs are bad, just that they get so much publicity even though it's more for self esteem then saving lives).

Thank you for that information. My sister is a hair stylist and a lot of people donate to LOL, not knowing any better. I forwarded that link to her, hoping that maybe her salon will consider contributing their cuttings.
