Help me fix this bun please

I can't seem to get this bun to work very well for me. It seems like there's a big flat gap when I'm finished in be middle of the bun, no matter how closely I try to keep them. Any idea why or how to fix that?


Or I'd also like to do TorrinPaige's rosebun with the ribbon weaved through. I'd use a black ribbon instead of red, though. (This one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLnBEVd0gOg)

Which one sounds better to you guys?

I just remembered I have bangs, too, and I look better with them but they haven't been cut in a while. So any suggestions? I was thinking something like this:

My vote is for bun #1. I think it is very classy.

Personally, I'd go with the braided Chinese bun and simple accessories as was displayed in the video. For your bangs, I think maybe side swept and pinned and smoothed would look really nice. If they aren't long enough to be pinned nicely (without bits sticking out like mine would!) I'd lean toward the small poof instead of a victory roll.

I like the braided bun, and if you are having trouble with a gap in the middle, perhaps you could cross the braids over the stick at some point? Go like so: --X-- and then continue wrapping as in the video...

Okay, thanks for your opinions, everyone! Chinese braided bun it is. And I'll have to expariment for my bangs. I might have to flat iron them, but oh well.

I would go with the braided chinese bun. To fix the gap, try flipping the braids over the stick before you start wrapping them after you cross them.

I'm for the braided bun and you can try staring with one pony tail splitting it into two braids and put the stick behind the band for the pony tail and go from there. Or cross the braids over.

I'm just hoping this will look good with my fat face. My mom says she likes my hair down best, but I just want it up and out of my face.
