I have seen this stuff in the grocery store and today I finally looked at it and decided id go home and look the product up to see whats up with it but I couldn't really find anything. I was wondering if any of you have or do use it? I just went back to the store and bought the conditioner since I seem to be hoarding the stuff and I wanted to try it out. So let me know! :] some input would be appreciated.

Holy c***, where did you find it? My dad used to use that stuff on my hair (and his, it was all he had when my brother and I came over) when I was little and I loved it... but haven't seen it anywhere in ages! I would love to try it again and see how it does for my hair now...

A quick web search turns up lots of places that are selling Flex Balsam and Protien. I used to use it, and sometimes I miss the smell. But if I accidentally got some of the conditioner on the wall of the shower or the floor or something, it would dry out into a waxy, non-water-soluble blob that I had to scrape off with a knife. If you use it, watch out for buildup on your hair. I kinda wonder what it could do to a drain.

Oh wow! it sticks haha! That could be a problem. The smell is..alright. I figured I'd try it out. I did find online a few reviews of it. But the reviews just weren't a review like and lhc-er could give me :p I've never seen it in my life before. I moved to Nevada a few months ago and they have it at Scolari's (grocery store). They actually have all the kinds and it's real cheap

I love Flex Extra Body. Everytime I see it I snag several bottles. My last bottle is down to it's last inch now, so I have to find some more. I don't know how it compares to other stuff, though, as it's the only shampoo I've used for years.

I don't remember how well this stuff works; I used to use it in the 80's. But I sure do remember the smell.

If you're into more natural haircare but are craving the scent of balsam, you may want to try Aubrey Organics GPB conditioner, which has balsam in it. Yummy.

I use this & love it for Conditioner-only washings. I too found it at the grocery store, but used it way back when. I really love the conditioner....

I tried it out yesterday for my co. I really don't like the smell of it at all but i might give it a few more tries. I can't tell if I like it all too much...I had to use another kind of conditioner with it so i dont really know how it works solo on my hair.

Thanks, Neoma! I've been on WO for a long time, but if I decide to try something else (what longhair can resist experimentation forever?) I will try this first.

You're welcome, Kimberly. :flower:

Has anyone spotted Flex lately? My hair eats the protien in this stuff like its a delicacy. (and just lets expensive protien drip off) I know I have seen it recently, but not where. I've checked every place I've stopped for the past two weeks and nada.

It turns up at the 99-cent store in my neighborhood (in Sacramento, if that's useful) - they started carrying it this year, and so far they haven't run out. That's what my mom always stocked (before Faberge Organics came on the market, anyway ;)) and I can totally still smell it! Haven't bought any because of the protein content, though.

I love the way this stuff smells - we used to use it when I was little. I found some at Walmart a few months before I joined up here, and the shampoo seemed pretty strong, but I liked the conditioner. I might actually pick some up and use it for overnight treatments :)

I've also seen it at dollar stores (Dollar Tree, Family Dollar) and at certain grocery stores - I think Price Chopper and maybe Hannafords?

I just saw this at the Dollar Tree. I didn't have time to read the ingredients because I was in a hurry, but will check it out next time.

Has anyone seen it in the UK recently? It's my hubby's favourite, and I love the smell too.

I love the stuff too. The smell is amazing (the dollar tree version's smell is..... bad IMHO). The only places that have it online are either selling it for $15.00 a bottle, or written entirely in some slavic language I don't know.

I saw some HairVitalize Balsam and Protein conditioner [and shampoo] at the Dollar Tree and was wondering if it's any good also. I think I'll try it next time..
