It was only a matter of time... I "stole" olive oil from the kitchen. I just put about 1/2 an ounce in a little 2oz. spray pump bottle to try out on my hair later.

Haha I have this huge jug of olive oil in my house because my brother is a chef, so when I steal some it goes unnoticed. Unless I say something about it, and it's not like anyone really cares. But, yay for olive oil stealers! :p

The wonders of kitchen finds! :-D I use olive oil all the time, on my hair and also on my face as a cleanser.
My mum always wonders how it gets used up so quickly :-p

Hope it works well for you.

Oh yeah....it starts with a little olive oil. Just a tiny bit.....to try.

Before you know it you'll be snagging olive oil, coconut oil, bananas, avocados, apple cider vinegar, egg yolks, honey and anything else you can get your little hands on!

You've been assimilated!

Oh crap! I've been trapped by the Hair Borg!

Olive oil has become a hair staple for me and my husband. I like to mix it with shea butter as a leave-in.

Welcome to the dark side :p.

Yup that´s the early stage of hair related foodborgensia  highly contagious and if you´re not careful it will become worse. Before you know it you´ll sit around with drippy goo and a nice plastic bag on your head and scare the postman when opening the door :silly:

Just wait - it starts with filching little things, taking them to the shower room to try... Soon, you'll be taking over the kitchen for hours at a time, concocting hair butter/oil mixtures for leave ins and deep treatments. :rolling:

Huh? What do you mean olive oil is supposed to be in the kitchen?

Is it odd that I've considered the merits of putting a little fridge in the bathroom for all my new hair stuff that likes to be kept in there?

And then people will *really* be afraid when I start poking around the kitchen! lol I already worry people, because sometimes I try "odd" recipes. Like Panna Cotta, or "Death Warmed Over" casserole ...

Death Warmed Over casserole? Morbid curiosity is getting the better of me......

This is not odd, this is practical.

LOL I knew someone would take the bait!

It's actually not as scary as it sounds.

DEATH WARMED OVER, Dmitri Sylvain

Ingredients:
1 onion, chopped
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 medium carrots, chopped
1 lg stalk of celery, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
1 can of Progresso lentil soup
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
1 can condensed tomato soup

topping: 1 tube of Ritz crackers, crushed

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Directions:
Brown the beef and cook the onions until tender in a skillet. Combine all other ingredients in an 8 x 8 casserole dish and top with Ritz crackers. Bake for 25 minutes.

I call it "Death Warmed Over" because A) I serve it at Samhain and it just sounds good, and B) lentils are a food associated with mourning, and C) it kinda looks like a pile of mushy guts. But trust me, it has a nice earthy and herby flavor!

XD. I do the same. I actually get 3 bottles of olive oil for my family. One for salad dressings and "nice" food. One for cooking. One for my hair and face.

I also have coconut oil and rosewater in my bathroom. Along with tons of other oils but that aren't good for cooking.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, I might have pilfered a bottle of Apple Cider Vinegar from the pantry this evening. Hehehe ;)
