My DD's friend who is in hair stylist school stopped by while I was examining some ends under the lamp. "Look at this!" I told her. I had one of those hairs that looks like a feather on the bottom 4 inches, with little splits sticking out all along one side. A few of the split ends were split! She said "Wow, you have very strong hair!" I said "How can it be strong when it's in such bad condition," and she told me "most people's hair would break off before it got that bad."

Ha-ha; that's a new one on me.

I guess there's an upside to most things :p

I get those a lot. Maybe that's why we can grow our hair out so long?
You care for your hair so much that the damage doesn't really matter. I'm sure that if you used heat-styling tools then those splits would break off!

Well, that is good to hear. I've found a few real doozies of split ends.

I've never looked at it that way. Interesting!

That doesn't really make sense to me though because C hair is less likely to get splits, and yet is it stronger than F hair in general. hmmm....

I would think that is more a sign of good handling on your part. You might not be able to totally stop the splits, but you are gentle enough to keep your hairs from breaking off by force.
