My daughter is 8 and her hair is LONG! It right at her waist and just about at the small of her back when it's wet. I had long hair as a kid, but my mom always did my hair so I never learned how :( My daughter's hair gets super tangled all the time because she wears it down. I can do a basic braid or ponytail, but am looking for some more styles that will keep her hair up without being too "boring". Can anyone link me to websites that give good how-tos on long hair styles? Thanks!

This blog focuses on hairstyles for a girl about your daughter's age--though there's a few I've bookmarked to try on my own head once I have the length!!

Here's another site with some really cute styles. Some are a little difficult, some more easy. Anyway, you might be able to find something here. I'd completely forgotten about it until I saw this thread.

Hair taping! My daughter loves it and it's so easy.
