Hey everyone, I thought it would be a good idea to start this thread. I did a search and did not find a support thread for this mixture hair type. If there is one already, I apologize.

I thought we should have a place to share questions concerns and offer advice and support. :)

Okay, now that I had this trim, my hair is very voluminous. This is not a bad thing, but I do not want my hair snagging on things.

How do you keep your curls tame when they want to be wild?

Do you use updos, oils, or some other method?

Any advice and/or tips would be greatly appreciated! :)

Well there is the wurly and curly thread. And What do you mean by trim?
I use olive oil to tame my curls.

That is true, I just thought since there were other specific hair support threads, such as, "The New - 2a F support thread," that this would be acceptable too.

I just received a 1/2 inch trim so I think my hair was in the mode where it goes rather crazy right after a trim. I just washed my hair and it is a lot calmer now.

I love Olive oil my hair just soaks it up and wants more.

Yes, i first thought my hair wanted coconut oil, but in this cold winter here, my hair just loves olive oil. Perhaps i'll just stick with the olive oil.

I don't try to tame my curls anymore. I give them, oil, conditioner, and wing to take flight and do as they wish. :)
