Down is a very simple hair style. :D
I love the nautilus bun though since it's easy to do and bada-boom it's up. I feel the same about a cinnamon bun for my Ficcares and a figure 8 Bun.

I love the folded ponytail bun. It's murder on your ends if you do it too often, but it's quick and effective if you just want it out of your way for a bit. I just gather into a ponytail, and pull the scrunchie around it one time, then I halve the length (fold it upwards to where the ends will barely stick out of the scrunchie at the top) and pull the scrunchie around the second time, then I halve it again and pull it around the third time. :)
Geeze...the "simple" hairstyle sure has a lot of instructions. :p
Other than this, my other favorite simple hairstyle is just a plain, long English braid. Kudos to the Avatar movie for getting me to like those again. :crush:

I love the look of topsy tails and figure eight buns, but they're rather easy to do.

Figure eights. I do them all the time because I find them so quick and easy to do for me. They are also tight enough that I can use them when I work out! :)

Blunt cut ends, blunt cut bangs, parted in the middle, downdo. Just like the hippies wore in the late sixties and early seventies. Add a horizontal heaband that goes across the forehead for accent. That's my favorite, simplest hairdo.

That is the only bun I know how to do with my APL hair. No wonder why my ends break off all the time shudder:

Various hairstick buns. Before I got my layers cut and all my hair was at waist, my favourite was the infinity bun.

A tight nautilus bun with no sticks. I call it my "banishment bun" for when I get sick of my hair being down,.

Simple English braid, usually pulled over the left shoulder. Other than that, a half-up, because DH loves it down.

Nautilus bun is the simplest for me as it doesn't pull like a lot of buns do (therefore I don't have to constantly redo it). I make it loose and secure with a fork :)

A simple bun with a stick. My hair is too short, thick, and layered for some of the named buns around here, but I can coil it around once and a half and weave a stick in to hold the ends. It's a little like eadwine's 10-second quick bun, I think.

Lately its just been a braid and I either wear it down or pin it up. Hopefully in the spring my creativity will revive.

English or Dutch braid. English braid is sort of my default 'something to contain my hair', but Dutch braids are my favorite as far as looks and what I use if I'm going to be outside a lot in wind or where my hair might rebel. They contain my hair better over time.

I wear a flip bun most of the time lately. It's easy, comfy and pretty.

A nautilus or infinity bun! :D I can just stick a hair stick in and can go all day with it up, or exercise in it without having hair fall out of it.

My go-to style is a braided bun, and I'd consider that a very simple style. It's definitely my favorite, as it's quick and easy.

I just do a simple hair stick bun almost every day...not sure what it's called! I like to wear it down on weekends though, and for riding/working out I always have to do the pony tail half through loop thing LOL Though I have to loop it over back itself again now. I also braid it quite a bit for riding too.

I do a knot-thing that I think is similar to a nautlius bun. Takes me about 3 seconds and 1 hairstick/pencil to secure. Though lately, it's been an english or french braid because hairsticks aren't really practical for barn work.

I'm a big fan of the nautilus bun, or if I'm going to be having a duvet day, a good ol' English braid works. :)

I have to say a simple ponytail. Thatīs what I wear almost every day. Easy to do, and keeps the hair out of the way.

Figure Eight or Cinnabun for updo and for me Half up is my easy downdo as I don't like my hair all down.

the pony bun!:) Just start as if you were going to do a cinnamon bun and pull out the ends trough the first loop. Secure with hairsticks and there you go!

My favourite and most simplest hair style at the moment is a simple braid folded up and then held in place with a claw clip :D
When my hair was longer I loved the figure 8 bun.

I've fallen in love with the topsy-turvy ponytail overnight. I thought it might also look good with a loose plait instead of a regular ponytail, but that's just me. I have yet to fully perfect it, but I'm excited to wear it, that's for sure.
Otherwise, for me, simple is a side braid, side ponytail, or down, with the side(s) pulled back in clips, or half up half down. I never really thought of how many different ways I wear my hair lol.

Either a simple English braid or a Lazy Wrap bun. Those are my go-to styles that I can do really quickly and that hold all day.

I wear a cinnabun or braided bun when I want a nice, tidy, easy-to-fix 'do. I do a deep side part and allow my fringe to fall out of the updo a bit, and just tuck the strands behind my ear when I want them out of my face.

Spidermom's bun is now my go-to style, with a cinnabun as second choice.

Ponytail, or tie it in a knot. Those are probably the only two styles I do, actually. Oh, unless you count braids. A single down English or Rope braid are also simple and favourites of mine. :)

I love when I wear my hair down.
My favorite simple style is a half-up with a single braid. Simple, but elegant.
For a simple updo, I love a French twist.

That would be the Lazy Bun I do...not as nice as the Lazy Wrap Bun, but less over and under, and very fast.

I have no idea what this is called but...I gather my hair in a pony, lay a stick along the side and spin it like a propeller and poke the end through. It leaves the ends hanging out but is really secure and keeps it out of the way.

Down, english/dutch braid, ponytail: my only three hairstyles.
I would like to learn how to do buns since they seem to protect hair really well (or so I have heard).
I think that wearing hair down is my favorite, if and only if it looks healthy, of course. Braids are my second favorite (and fatefully are a perfect alternative for those days when hair does not look good down).

My favorite is half up/half down. I can pull all the front hair back and secure it in an elastic, pull just some hair from the front top (just the hair that is no lower than the temples) back in a non-metal clip, or take the hair from my temples and twist it back securing it with a non-metal clip (or if your hair is shorter, secure the twists with bobby pins along the twist). My other go-to style is a simple bun at the nape of my neck.

Mine is the lazy wrap bun or the cinnabun. Those are the only two things guaranteed to stay in my hair all day. I do wear an English braid a lot when I do weights, but my hair will slither out of it and it will have to be redone halfway through the day.

I have two, both done with a very large smooth barrette (in my case a scroll barrette from Bronze Jewelers). For the first one I gather my hair at the nape in one hand as if making a ponytail. I use the other hand to hold the length of the ponytail about half way down and then lift the ponytail letting the ends fall. I twist the ponytail over once, making a loop at the top so that the ends are under the length. I slide the barrette across the loop at the back of my held and pin it there.
For the second I start out the same way but instead of making a loop I just wrap the length of my hair around 4 fingers and pin the folded hair at the back of my head or at the nape. This one only works with a very large barrette. It might not work at all if you have very thick hair.

I suppose my favourite simple style would be the lazy wrap bun, although it's not holding so well at this length and I've just discovered spidermom's "bun that stays", so things might change soon.
My absolute fast and easy go-to is either a French braid or a braided lazy wrap.

My favorite is stuffed into a plastic bun cover. It takes all of 30 seconds to to and I can figure it out.

My favourite at this length is a caterpillar braid. I can't ever be sure of any other style staying in my hair if it's freshly washed.

For my bsl hair I tend to go for the twist.
Instructions:
Wake up groggily
Gather hair in low ponytail
twist clockwise
keep twisting till it coils
grab ficcare and insert any way it will go
Forget about it until bedtime when you realise you should probably detangle it.
