Ok well I stalled off this for a bit since I've had exams etc., but I have so much to thank the lovely, kind and friendly community that is LHC and has supported me all the way. Well several things have happened, my hair care has improved million fold since coming here, and as its grown longer I've finally been able to forget about it a bit. Meaning that I notice the growth more.
Now when I started I was a chin-length bob. This was pre-LHC nearing shoulder and disgustingly heavily layered:

This is what I was when I started out a year and a bit ago:

In this next one you can see that the thickness is improving:

http://i416.photobucket.com/albums/pp250/dreamernz/DSC07053.jpg?t=1262451063
My hair was certainly getting longer and in better condition, then I don't know if you recall I posted asking about dying my hair red. I didn't go all the way luckily and went for red lowlights instead, I'm not sure whether to dye it all properly red but you guys can be the judge anyway:
http://i416.photobucket.com/albums/pp250/dreamernz/DSC07648.jpg?t=1262451218
(sorry for disgusting state and lack of make-up), as you can see it wasn't as extreme but still a bit damaging.

Anyhoo, though it was permanent, it faded quite rapidly as most reds do, my hair looks more brown now, maybe a bit auburn, in the sunlight a sort of bright golden toned red sheen.
So yes I reached my first goal of BSL which i'm happy with considering it included trims and so waist here I come! And the final pic (sorry for the bad quality) here it is current length:

So anyway thanks for your brilliant support you lovely ladies and gents and hears to many more hairiversaries and hopefully successful ones at that . Happy New Year everyone!!!! Thanks so much for everything!!!

Right, as if you needed makeup... Yes, your hair looks lovely. That's actually quite a lot of growth for one year considering your layers have grown out AND you went for just above shoulder to BSL. I think the red highlights look good on you anyway, so don't worry about that. Your hair is beautiful and you must be a very healthy girl to have grown your hair that much so quickly. Congratulations.

first of all, you have lovely hair and there is nothing disgusting about not wearing makeup!:) Your hair has really improved a lot and the red suits you very well, if you're up for a very permanent red you could look into henna.

Thankyou very much :D My mum doesn't want me to do henna :( She owns a salon and works as a hairdresser and said not to do it cos its very difficult to remove and if I didn't like the end result I wouldn't be able to dye over it. We'll see how things go :P

Happy Hairiversary!
I love that pic of you 'sans makeup' I think your fringe is awesome. It even made me wonder if I could pull it off!
You also have the right skin tone to wear deep shades of red hair and have it look great.

Wow, good growth! Your hair has gained so much in... everything. :applause

I also love that sans-MU picture. You really don't need any MU to be super pretty, Dreamernz :flower: (although MU is fun, I'll definitely give you that ;) )

WOW happy anniversary - you've had some fanasttic growth and I love the red :D

This may help with the henna. I hennaed my hair for 10+ years and basically got fed up with the weight of the henna giving me a headache. So my very good hairdressor at the time did a strand test to see if she could colour over it for next time. And...the strand test showed that she could! She used a semi-permanant base with some permanant bright right streaks and it worked great. I've now stopped colouring my hair as I want to grow my silvers in gracefully. HTH :flower:

Great hair + great progress = Winning combo! The red lowlights added a really cool look to your hair, too, even if it wasn't really permanent. Whoohoo for hitting BSL! Congrats! Now on to greter lengths!

I can't think of anything new to say that hasn't already been said by the posters before me, so I'll just say that here's to the next one. Much success and good luck during the next 12 months ;)
