Some members take Evening Primrose Oil as a supplement for healthy hair growth. I stumbled upon this information about it when researching another oil I use for cooking.

Copied and pasted from Wikipedia:The evening primrose flower (O. biennis) produces an oil containing a high content of γ-linolenic acid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%93-linolenic_acid), a type of n−6 fatty acid.

Interesting link. I take EPO for "womanly health" and have noticed lessened symptoms since I started taking this supplement.

I imagine that normal dosages of these oils (I also take flaxseed oil) won't harm anything. I think some people take these things at such high dosages that it could have adverse effects, but that also happens with taking too large of a dose of anything.
