While we know that floor length hair is possible for plenty of people, I tend to think this troupe is using wigs. I say that because of the complete uniformity between each individual, as well as a remarkable lack of taper.

Still, it is pretty cool! :rockerdud

I do think for floor length hair i wouldn't whak it around like that, imagine all the rehersals. I think it is definately a wig, no chance it is natural unfortunately!

I don't know if I agree with that. I see quite a bit of taper, and if that's what they're paid to do... well..

I'm not saying they're NOT using wigs, just that I could believe either way.

Even if it is wigs, it's a beautiful dance! They look like little swishy hair fairies :cloud9:

I don't care if they've got wigs. It looks like an ode to long hair!

Could be wigs, but then again there is an ethnic group in China where women like to grow their hair as long as possible, and it is possible that this dance troupe is recruited out of this group.

Very long hair is unusual everywhere of course, but the Chinese do seem to have more long hair contests than most countries, and they seem to be a little less eroticized than long hair contests in Japan, Thailand, Russia, or Germany. Which is refreshing. It is just something that some Chinese women specialize in. Maybe 0,0001% of the Chinese population, but in China, that is still a lot of people. It is interesting to remember that in Traditional China, the women wore their hair long but up, and it was the men who wore their hair in one long braid, all the way down.

I remember reading somewhere that our own Crystal Gayle once toured China and she was amazed that the Chinese had very few comments about her hair. It seemed less of a big deal for the Chinese than it is for us.

Wow, but I was wondering if all of them really had equally long and thick hair or if it was styled liked this for a certain event with the help of clip in extensions?

Their hair is super thick for being so long! Do you think it is real?
