I'm so pleased with my new-found ability to do something, anything, with my hair, that I feel like sharing. Here's some kind of a bun, not sure what, but it seems to look nice and it holds well without giving me a headache:

I don't really have a name-suggestion, but I just wanted to say both the updo and your hair look very pretty :flowers:

looks nice! To me it seems to be a hybrid between a cinnamon bun and an infinity:)

I think the basic shape is very similar to a pretzel, isn't it?

So how about the pretzel bun?

(I happen to be ever so slightly hungry at the moment...)

I think the name 'pretzel bun' is already taken. I've heard of it, anyway :shrug:

I have that same problem.One time,I was trying to do a chinese bun the right way,and the finished project was this really cool intertwined bun.I have yet to duplicate it...and my camera batteries ran out that day so I don't have a picture to refer back to LOL

If you do figure out how to do it again-make sure you post directions!:cheese:

Even as a one-time thing: good for you. It and your hair are beeeeyooooutiful!!! Many happy mistakes like that to you!! or to all of us!!
