And able to keep it off your pillows, and white shirts and your neck and so on? Because I have henna in most of my hair, I cannot use anything perminate. My roots are fine, I just cover the grey w/ a dye I have used for over a year now. But the rest I want to make it more 'fire red' and manic panic is the only safe dye I know of.

But I dread have my neck red, my clothes collars red and the bathtub pink.

Of course if there are other great, non perminate dyes please let me know!!!

I want to post pictures, how do I do that??

Huh, I've never had problems with Manic Panic. Then again, I've never dyed all of my hair, just bits and pieces of it.

Lots of Manic Panic fans around here. My avatar shows Lie-Locks, which I bought to mix in with conditioner and stop highlights going brassy, but I got carried away and did a few streaks.

If the hairdresser makes me too blonde again I may get some Atomic Turqouise as I've wanted blue hair on and off for a while now.

It has stained a teaspoon that I use to measure it out purple, and also the cup that I mix my deep treatments in. And parts of the sink in my bathroom. Oops! :o

Sorry Mods, I didnt know I put this in the wrong place. I really cannot tell what goes where just yet :)

And LOL about your measuring spoon. That is the only thing about the stuff that just drives me nuts. I need it to stay in longer and not come off on everything little thing...

Yeah, I used Special Effects on a friend of mine and it dyed the inside of his hockey helmet pink. The guys made fun of him for that. They also kind of hated me for dyeing their goalie's hair bright pink -- does not inspire fear in the other team.

My number one tip is to be very careful! Make sure to wear gloves and put vaseline all around your hairline. Put an old towel on your shoulders and don't where a shirt you care about. Leave Manic Panic on your hair for a long time if you can to make sure it takes. When you rinse out the dye, i suggest rinsing it in the sink instead of the shower and make sure to rinse until the water runs clear. Maybe not going to bed until your hair is dry would help keep the dye off of your pillowcases. You could also sleep with an old towel on your pillow for the first night. I dyed my bf's hair with Manic Panic Vampire Red last month and he didn't have a problem with it getting on his clothing afterwards, but I would make sure that the dye is completely off of your neck before you put on a white shirt. I hope that some of that helps!

Wash it out very carefully the first few times, and use a dark headscarf to cover up your hair when it's wet if you're sleeping with it like that. Other than that, devote special towels for it. It can make the bathtub pink the first time you use it, so I suggest washing out the actual dye in a kitchen sink for the first 2 washes. After that, the tub should be fine.Other tips would be to leave it on for 8 hours or so as opposed to the 20 minutes suggested.
