Am I 1c/2a or 2a or 2a/2b?

I decided that it might be a good idea to reclassify my hair.

I decided on 2a/2b m/c and iii

I was so surprised that upon measuring my pony tail it came out at 11cms circumference :D That was a surprise! I didnt realise it was so thick I thought it was less.

I just wanted to ask what you all thought about my 2a/2b. I was wondering if it was either 1c/2a 2a or 2a/2b! What do you all think? I am a mix of waviness you see and its different each time I wash!

I would say 1c/2a, because your waves don't start until your shoulders, and they are not very big at all, they are very loose. You do have more 2c type hair at the very end, but a lot of people have wavier hair at the very end, so I would just go with 1c/2a.

I'd say you're a 2a, because 1c is hair that is "straight with body wave and one or two visible S-waves (e.g. nape of neck or temples)" whilst 2a is hair that has "loose, stretched out S-waves throughout the hair", which you seem to have. This is assuming that your hair is brushed in that pic. My hair, which I've typed as a 2a, when freshly washed, has ringlets at the nape and temples (which can be very resilient and refuse to disappear), and S waves throughout, but brushed is like the second pic in my signature.

I'd say your a 2a.
I consider myself a 1c and your wave pattern is much more distinct than mine and it almost looks as if your ends have a ringlet thing going on.

if your hair was not brushed I would say 2a but if you brushed it then it may be 2a/2b cause you may have brushed more waves out

Try a picture where you haven't done anything but air dry/detangled with a wide-tooth comb.

I think you would be a 2a. I'm a 1c/2a, and your's is just slightly wavier than mine. Your hair is beautiful, btw.

Well will chance it to 2a for now and next time I wash I will get a photo before brushing. I guess my bristle brush would break waves ;)

It looks like 2a, brushed out.

Also, it looks vaguely more like M texture to me based on the current photo. Medium hair photographs as a somewhat softer blurry effect. Coarse hair has a wirier appearance in photos. Although, a more focused close-up photo would be easier to identify this. :)

So when you hair type after you wash and air dry then you can use a wide tooth comb to get out the tangles?

Looks a lot like mine before I comb, if not more wavy. I'd say 2a.
