Scroll down to the 20th photo. I believe they are members and this was from a meet. I won't name names. I just wanted to let you know so you can contact the site if you feel you wish to.

Ugh, yet another reason to watermark all personal images.
Jerks.
Thanks for drawing this to our attention!

That's one of my favourite meet photos ever, it's so beautiful.
I hope the owner/s of that photo see this thread and can tell us if the image was used with their permission. I hope it was, but that's probably naive of me.

I recall seeing that photo, too. Eerie. I hope those in the photo can pop in here to scope it out, too.

This was my favorite meet photo. I just want to make sure the owners know it's being used (probably) without their permission. :)

Okay, I have a question since the link got removed: What does NSFW stand for? o,o
And actually related to the issue, that's really sad. :( I bet it was a gorgeous picture.

I'm not sure which members it is, but I do (dimly) recall that some members here did load up a similar photo at a site other than LHC on purpose :shrugs: Was it a nasty comment?

Is it this one, from Kleis's album? http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=749&pictureid=51060
ETA: she mentions in the text under the photo that it's made it's way around the web.

Definitely still good to know, so it's good you brought it up. Maybe PM her the site URL to be sure?

But it's such a lovely picture! Why would anybody think it's funny or creepy or whatever? xD

There are people out there who think people growing their hair that long to begin with is funny and/or creepy. So I'm not surprised.

Hi guys! Thanks for the heads' up on this one. I didn't know this particular site had grabbed it, but it's been posted a few other places. This site didn't ask permission, but because it's a humor/novelty/coolness factor thing (as opposed to f*tishism, which I'd be all over) I'll just let it go. I might send them an email saying they should credit, or at least link back to the source page on my Flickr.
It *is* a really fun pic. I'm sure that's why it keeps getting nicked.

You can go to TinEye and search for your picture: here is the braided picture (three pages of search results) (http://www.tineye.com/search/d4e405ca22a1e79445f4878e165059d9b1843b0d). Kind of a cool way to see if your pictures are being used other places. I'm sure it's not comprehensive yet, but it's a start!

I've loved that photo of Kleis and Polyhex since I started out here on the boards. :crush: I think if LHC ever got business cards, that should be the photo on them....along with "I <3 LONG HAIR"

I love the photo and as long as no one minds their image being used and the context isn't mean then it's a really nice image to distribute!
