DIY hairbands and hair clips

I searched, but couldn't find a thread on this. So let me post a couple of my holiday projects, and the rest of you can follow suit :p

I made this headband just now, with an old one made out of stretch fabric gone bad. I used hairties for the elastic part... and I have about ten other strips of fabric I want to use to make different kinds... if only I had the elastic! (Going to get some tomorrow.)
