Hello all.
It's now right in the thick of cold winter weather here in Manitoba, Canada. I've noticed with the furnace running, that my hair is often staticky. It seems that it has something to do with my wash/condish/oil routine as some days its super staticky & other days not so much.
I haven't figured out yet what the difference is but thought perhaps some of you would care to chime in on what you do to combat static electricity in your hair?
Thanks
Tami

I do heavy oiling and try to avoid syntetic material on my clothes, especially hats and coats.

All I know is that if my hair gets staticy when I need to brush it I wet the brush and then proceed very gently and it seems to calm it down. Otherwise I try to avoid the static. Sometimes that means letting the clothes in the dryer cool before folding them, or not petting the cats too much if they're having a staticy day.

I've recently purchased a wooden comb in the hope it reduces static.

I lightly go over my dry hair with a fabric sheet when it gets staticy and that solves the problem.
