Hello Everyone,

After a few small trims, coconut oil, exercise and eating better here is where I have come in three years. The middle part of my hair grows the fastest and I always seem to end up with a sharp icicle shape rather than a natural V.

That's great! The thick part is catching up with your length, which, by the way, is looking impressive.

That is wonderful progress DarkChocolate!

What I have personally done to get both a significant growth and maintain the health of my ends is that I will let my hair simply grow out for anywhere from 6 to 8 months without an official haircut. In between the 6 to 8 month period however, I will frequently do my own S&Ds. I will S&D around every 2 weeks, and take off 1/4 inch off of any hair that I feel has a damaged end. Once I get to my 6 to 8 month appointment, I will usually have around 2 whole inches cut off into a blunt trim. This way, I allow my hair enough time to grow out to a long enough length so that I can spare 2 inches!
