Today I did a 50:50 henna/katam on my length only. My ends were getting really brassy from old faded dye. I left the mix on for an hour but I think it turned out pretty good. I missed a few spots but the color looks much closer to my virgin roots now. I was able to do length only by putting the mix on two separate ponytails and then covering those with a baggy. Hopefully, I'll get some of the strengthening benefit from the Henna too. :D

After (It isn't quite this red IRL):

Thanks. I was just surprised how good the color came out, it matches much better IRL. I was so tired of the color though, anything would have been better.

There have been some threads lately about just doing henna on length to help strengthen old damage for those of us growing it out. I'm excited to see if this will help with the breakage I've been experiencing.

I think it will. It has certainly helped me, and I don't have much henna saturation on my hair. Just glosses in 07 and then the lush caca this month.
