I'm sitting at 45" right now and STILL contemplating that trim. Forget the 2-week rule...it's turning into the 2-month rule. :p

Hey Angie, nice sockbun!! ^^

You are so organized, redneckpricess. Love your Excel chart. I am so not good at measuring. I "THINK" it's 30 inches.:o

Hey Angie, nice sockbun!! ^^

That's funny. I think I've been contemplating trying to maintain for at least a year. I usually get a 1/2" trim in and then dismiss the idea.

I'm sitting right around 28", which is cool since my original goal was 27".

Thank you but I didnt design it..another member did (I cant think of who...it starts with an S....)
anyways I will find the link for you all and you just input your dates and measurements..

By the Way, Im really bad at measuring too, (expically now that its getting longer, YEY!!) so I make my DD help me on wet or flat ironed (usually wet) hair...even then we get 3 diffrent readings (I think my hair is cut longer on the right side by almost 2"...I cut it last so....thats possible, lmao!!

I'm bad about measuring every month, but I did yesterday on a whim and saw this thread today!

I am at 40" right now =D Last time I measured was back in.. August, I think, and it was around 36". 3 more inches to classic, then I plan on maintaining there for a long while to thicken up my ends.

Somewhere close to 33 inches. It was 33 inches a few weeks ago when my son helped measure it wet, and it was about 33 in my awkward attempt to self-measure just today. I probably should trim soon, though.

-Edit- My Dear Son just helped me remeasure, and he says it's 33.5 inches now. Yea!

SylphideNoir

17" after cutting off the bottom layers. Feels much better and the cut will grow out nicely from this point. I think I've finally left the bob stage.

It is growing! It's an inch longer than it was a month ago. 44" now. :disco:

CindyLea1

I hit 33.5 inches measured just now, on lightly oiled hair. I've grown 4.5 inches since April( 7.5 months) and have 10.5 inches to go to be back to classic. I should be back there plus some by next Christmas.

I'm at NEARLY 26.5"
It feels like it's taking forever! But 1.5" in 2.5 months is over .5" a month so I'll try to stay positive :)

mellie89
December 1st, 2009, 12:51 PM
22.25"

I JUST realized that I measured wrong last month (used an online ruler that wasn't calibrated correctly, bah!) so I figure I've gotten 1.25 inches over 2 months, which isn't bad.

SheaLynne
December 1st, 2009, 03:07 PM
Woohoo...I've made a decision to do 1/4-inch trims monthly to gradually take off my layers and old ends but still make some length progress.

Last month I measured at 32.5. I trimmed yesterday and today I measure at 32.75, so it worked--ends look better and length still gained :cheese:

31 inches, according to that excel formula someone put up (i forgot who..) I should be at waist in 3 days. :cheese:
i grew 0.9 inches last month.

ETA: I finally put my own measurements into the formula. (I'm short-torso'd) and apparently I've already reached waist. supposedly 5 months until i hit tailbone, just in time for prom. :D

20.5, this time last month it fell at 19.0, so I'm happy! :cheese:
I try to avoid trimming at all costs. S&D, but that's about it.

December 1st, 2009, 03:54 PM
35 inches, woo! So I'm probably averaging around half an inch per month, which is okay I guess. At least it's definitely getting longer at last, rather than growing back to starting point with healthier ends. :) (Hip, here I come...)

Lets see.. I signed up and started measuring back on Oct 17th, and was at 35" .. I measured just now and I'm at 36" So it's an inch in about 6 weeks.. I can live with that. lol

Yahoo! I'm at 25". So thrilled!

I got a perfect 1/2" every month from January to Sept, then got a little tiny trim mid Sept and didn't grow much between then and Nov 1st so I feared I either trimmed more than I thought or was in a stall... but here I am, exactly back on track! :D So happy.

I find I can't measure with the tape measure as I get a different reading each time. I used photos from last month and this month on a striped shirt and it looks like I may have an inch of growth. I'm not surprised with the amount of pampering my hair has gotten this month - looks like it might have paid off. Also it's summer here and that is supposed to help with speedy hair growth. I'm measuring for a year to see if there is a trend. If I keep this up I'll be at waist in no time.

I'm starting December at 34.75 inches which amounts to 3/4 of an inch in November. Thats more than I usually grow, which delights me to no end. I'm not sure if the increase is due to biotin or the miconazole rinses, but I'm happy to see a measurable difference from my base rate.

No growth this month. I guess I won't make 30" before I trim. Still at 29".

LATE ETA: Oh hey, 29" is half-inch growth. That's what I get for measuring a bunch and forgetting where I was in the previous month.

I've now reached APL and it does look like I may be able to reach my goal before graduating with my PhD (if it all goes well ). But another, more amusing milestone, is that I now have longer hair than my sister, who says she is growing her hair for her wedding next year. :D

So this brings me up to 105 cm, or 41.34 inches.... finally counting up from 40!!!

31" - I forgot to measure last month, and two months ago I was at 30.5" and I've had a 1" trim since then, so even though I've only really gained .5" in two months, that's actually 1.5"-1", so it's definitely growing!

:) When I first logged on to this website I was @ 40.5'', now @ 42.5''. I've had long hair all my life (growning since I was born!) - past waist length, but found this website while looking up hairdo's I think, and joined! Can't say I've logged in much, but interested in new pretty updo hairdo's / hairstyles. I know there's a lot out there, ... I usually where my hair either down - partially pinned back with a hairclip, or in an updo with curls - hot rollers my-long-time-friends!! (Chop sticks too - they're the ones that hold up my hair and keep it in place!! I used to do the care free all the way down look, but would always find myself eventually putting it back with a clip or my handy dandy chop-sticks!!
