View Full Version : Katurday's year's worth of no trims!

One year ago, I got a Pob (a-line bob) that was dyed blue-black. Since then, it has faded to a brown, I have henna'd it, and not trimmed or cut in the meantime. I've gone no cone, no heat, and no SLS. HERE ARE THE RESULTS!

The beginning (November 27th, 2008 ):
I had gotten the haircut and color on this night. I straightened my hair daily, used cones and SLS shampoos. Eventually this color faded to a greenish brown.

Now (Taken on November 27th, 2009):
I henna my hair regularly, deep condition with EVOO, don't use cones or SLS shampoos, and no longer dry or style my hair with heat.

Progress (November 27th, 2008 - November 27th, 2009):
A year full of no trims. What do you think, decent growth?

That's very good growth! :thumbsup: Thank you for sharing these pics, I got a short cut in September and vowed not to trim for a year, so this was just the inspiration I needed!

Very decent growth. Impressive you toughed it out with no trimming.

Oh there were rough spots. The secret is being poor for the most part, and my hairdresser friend REFUSED to do it for me until I hit the 1 year mark. Then the 1 year mark snuck up on me because mostly I put it up and forgot about it.

That's some decent growth. Wish my hair would grow that fast... Imagine where you will be in another year!
Sounds great with a hair dresser who refuses to cut. I don't have any hair dresser friends, but the hair dressers I have met have wanted to chop off and color my hair :P

No, I didn't S&D. I'm doing a trim soon, tomorrow I think.
I've been inspecting it, and there aren't even that many splits.
A bottom half inch will take care of it.
