Hair Pride! (Pix)

Hello all! I'm so proud of myself, I just had to post some pix. :o I know it's not a very exciting hairstyle, but I tried a braided scarf bun this morning, and fortuitiously the scarf was just a bit longer than the braid and sort of poofed up at the top of the bun -- I love this! (Sorry the pic is blurry, but I had to take it myself in the bathroom mirror, so no flash.) And I've also been meaning to post a new post-cassia pic, so decided to do that all at the same time....

Hope everyone else is loving their hair today, too. :)

Gee, thanks everyone! :) I highly recommend the cassia treatment BTW. (Which reminds me, I should get over the cassia thread and post my results!)

It is red -- I'm a bit bummed that the pic is so blurry, cause the bun came out really well -- it looks much more intricate than it is, of course!

Hi Violeta,

It's super-easy (kind of embarrassing, really. :o ) I put my hair in a ponytail with a nice friendly elastic, then threaded the scarf through the elastic so it hung down with my ponytail. Then I divided the hair part of the pony in two, and braided the two hair chunks with the scarf (those are your three strands) and finished off with an elastic. Then I wrapped the braid around the base of the pony, cinnamon-bun-style, and pinned it in place (I used regular hair pins). It just so happened that the scarf was a bit longer than the hair part of the braid, so when I was done wrapping there was a little poof of scarf left sticking up at the top of the bun -- that was the part I was so happy with, and it was just an accident!
