Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I'm getting ready to go to a Thanksgiving dinner and someone there is going to cut my split ends for me.

I read somewhere here on how to do it, what angle you should cut the hair at, etc.

Can someone refresh my memory so I can let this person know?

Was it a 45 degree angle? If so, what direction should the angle go in? Does it matter?

I'm asking for answers ASAP because I'm leaving in about 45 minutes. Thanks everyone!:)

I remember reading that there should not be an angle, but to cut as straight across as possible and with very sharp scissors to make sure each strand is "cut" as opposed to "crushed."

That's what I always thought too. Straight across and sharp scissors.

Yes, preferably scissors that were made for hair-cutting, and have never been used for any other purpose! The sharper the better. No weird angles or anything; just perfectly blunt ends to each hair.

You've been advised well. :)
