Growing out hair

So, I am trying to grow my hair out.
I had got a hair cut in september and my hair grew alot I went from bottom neck length to shoulder length. I was happy
Then recently my mom did my hair and said she was giving me a trim.
But, instead of a trim, she cut me back to bottom neck length.
So, I am trying to grow my hair back to shoulder or longer by jan
I am currently using Mane N Tail shampoo/Conditiner and taking Biotin 1000mcg

So, if you have anymore tips please share :)

Don't get your hopes up is something I always tell people when they go "I want to grow my hair to --- by ---", but that amount sounds reasonable for you.

Why did she want you to trim your hair? Was it damaged? Do you heat style or dye? Need more info on your routine.

Well, keep trying to grow your hair. Everyone here has had some set backs.

The last time you said it took about 2 1/2 months to reach shoulder length so about the only thing you can do is play the waiting game again. =(
