Figure 8 for the short or kinky - picture + video

Here's a figure 8 bun for the short or kinky (not height or boudoir practices) :p. My hair stretched is just below my bra strap, but it shrinks so much that I don't really have that much length to work with. It is effectively shoulder length. For people with non-curly hair, I think you could do this with arm pit length hair, probably even shorter, though it won't be as chunky.

Here's a picture. The crinkles obscure the shape a little bit (this is done on a twist out or "rope braid waves") but I think you can see it.

Wow, that is seriously gorgeous. I have natural, APL hair and I didn't think my hair was long enough to do this bun. I was gonna braid my hair tonight so I should be able to try this tomorrow.
