I'm looking for a thick, chunky wooden hair stick that's nicely shaped/carved, and perhaps comes in a variety of wood stains. No beads or adornments or anything.

Any suggestions? The more affordable, the better, too...

Try amadlife on Ebay. His sticks are very sturdy and usually turned out of Dymondwood or natural wood. I don't think I can break them if I want to. :D Lots of them don't have beads. You can also ask him to make some custom sticks.

Have you ever bought from them? I haven't yet, but love the look of some of their sticks. And nice prices too :D

I always like Beetnik505... her work is a little pricier, but definitely worth it. The finish on all her sticks is SUPER smooth and won't snag at all (and can be used in damp hair.)
