Home remedies for dandruff (http://tipnut.com/home-remedies-for-dandruff/) - several of these are regular LHC fare, but I've not heard of some, particularly the aspirin. Has anyone tried that? Would it work?

When it comes to shampoo, less is more (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=102062969&ft=1&f=1001) - an interesting article about shampoo over the ages, including a link to a NYT article from 1908 which made interesting reading!

Those are interesting. I have heard of the aspirin, someone on the old boards used to use it, but I cannot remember who right now. :D

Those are really interesting! Just out of curiosity, the tip calls for 50/50 ACV and water. Isn't that little too drying? :hmm:

You want it to be strong to kill the dandruff fungus, though.

I like the 1908 NYT article, and found myself agreeing with quite a lot of it. I found the suggestion to use a nail brush to massage the shampoo in interesting, it's actually something I'm kind of tempted to try.

In the Dandruff article they could have included rosemary oil along with their recommendation for rosemary tea. The problem with teas is they can alter the colour of the hair. I don't like this and prefer to use eo's such as oregano oil, rosemary oil, and tear tree oil mixed into my shampoo. But I wonder about the tea tree oil being left on the scalp. Wouldn't this be drying to the hair?
