I have very olive toned skin and my natural red highlights in my hair made me look flat out sickly, so I decided to do something about it! It was risky, b/c I've already permanently straightened my hair which is an intense process to say the least and so I figured adding color chemicals on top of that would be the kiss of death. I went for the gentlest temporary dye I could find. I got "No Brass" hair dye in the darkest shade of brown. It should last 28 washes. I was fully prepared for my hair to completely fall out of my head from all the crap I've been doing to it, but luckily it didn't! Yay!
It was damn near black when I first dyed it but now it's settled into a more natural brown. I respect the ladies and gents opinions here, so please tell me what you think.

I think it's a very pretty color.:) Could you post a "before" photo as well so we can see the difference more easily?:flower:

Maybe it's just because of your hair texture? But yours looks better than mine ever will! Very pretty.

I like the colour, looks natural.
You could also check out "Punky Colours" deposit-only dye (no developer). It is very gentle, but it would run every time you wash your hair.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments. :) It means a lot to me coming from the ladies here. I think my ends are starting to fairytale too, which I didn't even realize until I took that darker haired picture! Isn't that what it's called when it's not cut straight across but kind of a U?

Your colour looks natural and your ends are sexy looking (yes, I am a woman saying that). You were smart to not use a permanent hair colour. Many people don't consider the different hair colouring options that are available. Thankfully, you did.

Your hair is so pretty -- both before and after (although I can understand about wanting a hair color that compliments your skin)! It looks gorgeous, and not at all damaged. Good job at keeping it in good condition :)
