The styles are definitely LHC standbys, and most of the names are just German translations of what we call them. Wonder who she is, and whether she'll ID herself.

Here I am. But I'm not online regularly.
Anyway, I'm happy that you get along with my vids.
I have a homepage since 2006, too. It's about braiding, haircare etc. But it's in German... http://kupferzopf-flechtfrisuren.de Frisuren= updos, Braids, buns
I started with that page because there's a lack of instruction pages here. The videos I made for those who learn better with "moving pictures" ;) than written instructions.

LHC standbys? I am willing to bet the hairstyles existed before LHC came along ;)

Thank you all!

Oh, there is an instruction for a flat 4-strand ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpsA1O0piNQ ) and a round 4-strand ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KinZkPE22Dk ). But I guess that it is a hard to follow only by watching the movie.

Maybe it helps if I give you the pattern:
Round:
right side: under two, back over one - left side: under two, back over one

Flat:
right side: under- over
left side: over- under

I did see that; your videos are amazing! I'm a visual learner too, and I found the videos very helpful. I just need to practice the techniques. :)

Thanks for the link to great videos
I'm brand new to LHC and this is my first post. I just have to thank you for the link to Kupferzopf. Her video on the "Wickeldutt" (I think in English it's the Nautilus bun?) really helped me: for the first time I'm able to do it!!
I love this forum and am blown away by how nice and helpful everyone is. So inspiring. Hugs to all! :toast:
