Finally, I have made enough progress to start a thread about it! :cheese:So I decided to stop chemically relaxing my hair on November 3, 2008. A few months later (March 2009) I cut off all the relaxed ends and started growing out my natural hair. I started from about 2 inches of hair in March. You can see progress pictures from when I cut it in March, to when I straightened it on November 3 for a length check and dusting http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=4252

Thank everyone for all the positive responses! Without all of the information and support I have gotten from here and Youtube, I probably would have given up and gone back to relaxing by now. I haven't seen my natural hair texture since I was a child, and back then my mother took care of my hair for me. I will admit that learning to care for an completely new hair texture is difficult and sometimes frustrating, but I am glad that I was able to find LHC and have so much inspiration to hang in there. Next mini goal: APL!
