Classic Lucy sleep cap polyester?

I thought it was satin? I have the Lil Lucy sleep cap, but wanted the larger one, and the whole time I thought it was satin, but after I ordered it I saw that it said polyester. I'm sorry I'm so dense, but is polyester the same as satin? I even bought what I thought was a satin pillow case and even the package said satin, but when I looked at the tag to see how it's washed, it also said it's polyester. What's the deal?

Polyester comes in a satin finish. Are you actually looking for real silk?

I thought about ordering the silk, but the other material is fine. I was just confused about it LOL.

Satin is just a type of weave and satin fabric can be created with various types of fibers. There's silk satin, nylon satin, polyester satin, etc. Anyway, I don't think the Classic Lucy is available in silk because it's not as durable and may not hold up well to this heaviness of long hair.

I have both also and I really prefer the Little Lucy. It seems softer.

However, the extra room of the Classic Lucy is convenient as my braid grows.

I have the Classic Lucy and I'd recommend it. It's nice and slippery and will hold a lot of hair.
