I was feeling like playing dress-up the other night to see what I could do for a Halloween party, and thought I might let myself be vein enough to pose silly for a little self-photoshoot of what I was able to do with my bobby pins! :o

It looks like I cut my hair off, but really I just rolled up my tailbone length hair into a shoulder-length wad and put an ouchless rubberband around it to hold it up and see what it looks like (then snapped some pics).
I think a more "real-life" compromise for longer hair like mine is to maybe use a snood. I'm still not sure what to do to let the hair loose and keep it up at the shoulders.
Some of the pictures came out pretty good when I tried to make them look a little more like 1940's. :p So I decided to share them with ya'll! :flower:

How fun! Your hair really does look very 40's. I like that you did black and white photos and the dark lipstick adds to an authentic look. Thank you for sharing your pics.

That's pretty. I think it would have looked great with a snood, too.
I like the black and white pictures. :D

My gosh is that ever beautiful! :bounce:I absolutely LOVE old styles for hair, anything from the 70's to the roman days! (Roman women knew how to wear their hair gorgeously )
Please, tell me, HOW did you do that?

And people say long hair isn't versatile... :p Tonight I'm doing a silent screen/flapper look with almost waist length hair... I tried it just now and it was surprisingly easy, having wavy hair helps create the illusion of the rolled-up parts looking like they just end there (if that makes sense)...

I have been experimenting with pin-up hair but I just can't seem to get it right haha.

Very pretty!! Although my hair is much shorter than yours, I am doing a pin-up style & makeup for a formal wedding next weekend. Feel free to look in my album. ('Updos and such') There is a description....it should be the first pic in that album.
