I haven't experienced any hair loss and thinning yet, but I'm really tempted to try some of these (http:////www.plantur39.ch/en-ch/products/index.php).,especially the the caffeine tonic (http://www.plantur39.ch/en-ch/products/tonic.php) and Outside-Inside treatment (http://www.plantur39.ch/en-ch/products/outside-inside-treatment.php)

As I am not that good in reading ingredients lists, I thought I should ask here first- what do you think, are these worth a try?

Hmmmm....if caffeine is supposed to help grow and prevent hair loss...I wonder if I could make my own formula out of crushed up no-doze. :hmm:

I really don't see what good caffeine is going to do for your hair, particulary bearing in mind that there is more perfume in each product that caffeine.

I don't know much about caffeine's effect on hairloss, but on the website they go on about how hormone levels after menopause effect the hair shaft and quality/amount of hair - does caffeine act as some sort of estrogen mimic?
I think it would be more effective to take hormonal supplements.

The ingredient lists are full of silicones, sulphates as well as other cleansers, and parabens.

The "active" ingredients seem to be things like castor oil, caffeine, and soy. Doesn't seem that exceptional to me.

I wouldn't use any of these shampoos, I'd like to try Caffeine Tonic, it doesn't contain sulfates and parabens, but I am not sure what Acrilate Crosspolymer, Tromethamine and Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone are.

ETA: I did some Google search: Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone is synthetic fragrance, Acrilate Crosspolymer is gelling agent, and Tromethamine is a drug, used to treat metabolic acidoses, and all this simply doesn't sound good at all at least to me.

I've lost a LOT of hair in ~ the past two years - and I'd say this stuff isn't worth it, IMHO. I could make the caffeine treatment myself, ignoring everything after the caffeine ingredient, and the rest doesn't seem terribly helpful. I dunno - if it were cheap I might try it, but these products don't look too amazing to me? I have reason to believe my hair loss is hormonal (been to doctors, had bloodtests). I've tried a good many products, and the only things that have helped my loss at all are iron pills (a bit less shedding) Viviscal (a bit less shedding, better texture), no sulphates (better texture), and henna glosses (thickening and strengthening).
