Does this have a name? Or a tutorial?

I was playing with my hair and my new crystal flower hair fork and came up with this. If I actually worked at it I am sure I could make it more secure and stay for longer than five minutes, especially if there was already a tutorial.

Whatcha think?

That looks like some form of hair tuck. Not the Gibson tuck, that would fan out more, but definitely some kind of hair tuck. I like the sparkly flower fork you pinned to the side, it looks very sophisticated.

It is a sort-of rolled tuck... Maybe the Gibson Sushi?

Looks like a log roll. We did them in ballet for gisel(I'm sure i spelled that wrong too)

Very pretty though! your hair stick is very cute too!

That's pretty!! It reminds me of something I saw in Torrin's video's. She called it a "Vintage-Y updo."

It does have a logroll-esque look to it - I'd also be interested in a tutorial...that might make it easier to tell whether it already exists on here. It looks very elegant, and I love the accessory! :flower:

I have an old photo of my godmother and her hair is in a roll similar to that, only her hair was never *long*. Her "roll" started closer to the face, up by her temples. I have no idea how it was secured.

Aww, that looks great. It's simple and elegant, and that flower just added a nice little cuteness to it. I would love to know how you did it. :D

:rollin: As if you weren't partly (largely!) responsible, Eric! :D

Very lovely 'do, LittleOrca. It looks very Victorian - I agree that it looks like a variation on the Gibson tuck.

I will do a tutorial when my back is better. I slipped a disk and its making motion a little difficult right now so getting to the bathroom and setting up the mirror and camera is a no-no for me right now :(
