I have been here since Nov 2005 and I started growing my hair out in January of that year. As you can see from picture number one it was fried beyond all semblance of normal hair. At the time I thought it was looking pretty good. :disgust:
I don't really post any more but I do drop in for encouragement and help when things are being weird. I should have combed it before taking the picture but I have enough trouble taking hair pictures as it is.

Looks amazing! Is that your natural colour that you grew back in? It looks very healthy and shiny. Congratulations on 4 years!

So what has been your hair care routine? Do you take any vitamins, etc.?

very nice, I LOVE the colour now and the look of the texture as compared to picture # 1. Good going. Are you using vitamins as well?

Thank you for all the lovely posts. The color is very close to natural but I have a lot of grey to cover so I have it touched up occasionally. No vitamins just being a lot more careful nowadays. I shampoo a lot less, use a LOT more conditioner and only blowdry when its too cold to go out with a wet head. Honey has also been a welcome addition to my conditioning.
Heres hoping to four more years!!

Thanks again to everyone. I saw some mention of the difference in curl from one pic to the next. Normally when left to it's own devices my hair is firmly in the wurly camp but has the amazing ability to go dead straight at the slightest provocation. I combed it out for this picture so that the full growth would show.
I also forgot to mention for those asking what I do differently these days that on occasion I will do an oil/aloe vera leave in over night. Just a bit of oil as my hair doesn't love it as much as many others on here. As a treat from time to time though it seems helpful. I also keep a spritzer full of aloe, glycerin and lavender oil. Oh yeah, I found out that my hair absolutely despises protein, crunch city. And I'm a vegetarian(have been for many years) so veggies unite, we can have beautiful hair too! :)
