That's funny. I love hippies. All the long haired people together can cause satellite disruption then? Or a cosmic convergence? Well delivered.

Oh yeh; I think ol' Arlo is totally right about this one. The seihks (spelling might be wrong) believe something similar.

"The longer it is, the smarter and more productive you become."

If only it were true... I would be at the top of all my classes in grad school!

Wow...I never thought about the growth journey in quite that manner before! Now I know what to tell people who ask me why I grow it long, but are not satisfied with my answer of "Because I want to." ;)

Thanks for sharing!! :D

That's hilarious. Any idea how old that video is? If it's recent, then he's looking really, really good there.

ETA: Ah I see, 1994. Fifteen years then, wonder how he's doing now?

Arlo is actually well. He's playing a good number of shows. I last saw him three, four years ago.
Lots of kids/grandkids playing/touring now.

Did I mention I named my almost 18 yo son after him?

Cute :)

This also reminds me of one of the funniest hairstories I've ever encountered: my neighbor explaining to his 8 year old boy that because he (the dad) was growing a beard, there was less space in his head for information, because hair grows in two directions -- both out of the skin and into the body! ;)

Haha that's so cool. I've heard something about hair and spiritual connections too.
And judging by the members here, we do seem to be a spiritually evolved bunch compared to alot of ohers.

Right on!
My Dad always said that guys with long hair was a sign of freedom, and that he would keep his short until he was free. My brothers will periodically grow theirs out, though. They always end up cutting it when we give them guff for looking like Jesus.

Love it! I remember thinking the same thing when this came up last fall, but for some reason didn't say anything then... who knows.

I love seeing a young Arlo in Woodstock footage, too, lol! Let's see, how old would he've been then... He looks like a kid for sure!

Anyway, I'll definitely take his sage advice to heart. I WILL NOT cut my hair.

I've actually thought many times that the people I've met through the LHC seem to be FAR beyond the people I know IRL when it comes to intelligence. Seriously, I have! There are a lot of really brilliant people on this site... and most of the people I encounter "out here" are really rather dull in comparison.

Sorry, real-life folks! :o
