Since I haven't gotten out of my PJs yet, here you go. I spray on some conditioner mixed with water, then put it in a loose bun and pull the snood over it all and pin it in the front. I love how my hair comes out in the morning.

Here's mine, it's a wreck in the morning, that is my toughest detangling session. I can't get the hang of a sleep pony, it's heavy and bothers me and I get worse tangles when I do any pony, so I leave it free.

does the snood stay on all night? where did you find your snood?

sherigayle
October 27th, 2009, 06:52 AM
I bought the snood from http://www.prayercoverings.com/catalog.php?category=4. I put a clip in the front of my hair, pull the edge of the snood over it and slide an amish hair pin through the edge of the snood and under the clip. You can also just use clips to secure it. It holds very well. I've been using it for a couple of months now and I've never had it come off.

Here's my hair this morning. I'm sitting outside with my morning Mt. Dew (breakfast of champions). It doesn't look funky enough - that hair taping is just too awesome. I've had it in for three days and it still looks halfway decent (except frizzy).

I will take a nice messy pic when I take it down to wash later today.

This pic actually is my morning hair - I posted it one day in response to a thread about creating 'messy buns' and so many commented that they loved it! Hee hee - it's what I wake up with most mornings. I keep my hair up (unless it bothers me then I take it down in my sleep).

I just took a photo... yes, it's 11:30 in the morning and I haven't combed it out yet. :D

It originally was a regular English braid. Now, it's a disaster. I still have "fringe" which is about shoulder length and all of that has fallen out of the braid and adds to the loveliness of it all. I'll upload the photo this afternoon.

I actually think that looks pretty nice! It seems fairly symmetrical - at least you don't get the flat side-puffy side hair. I know this guy who usually wears his hair tousled, but when he goes out, he combs it down nice and neat. I think he looks better with the tousled look.

Where did you buy your night cap? Do you have a pic of what the cap looks like? And all your hair loose fits in it or do you braid it first?

I got my night cap at Sally's Beauty Supply (http://www.sallybeauty.com/Headline-Satinette-Sleepwear/BETTYD12,default,pd.html). It's hanging on one of the little racks at the end of the isles. It is this hat essentially with satin inside and I think they put chiffon on the outside. In the store it's more along the lines of $7, not the $5 that is advertised on the site. It is a little big, and had a habit of coming off while I slept, so I put a hair tie at the back of it, making a little ponytail look and it stays on all night.

My hair fits in there loosely. I twist it up like I am going to do a logroll, then put my cap on. The hair untwists itself and gets comfy in the hat and stays until the hat comes off. I have gotten so used to it on when I sleep, that I put it on for naps and hate to sleep without it now.

I was about to start a thread for this, but since it turned out there already was one, here goes.

My hair generally behaves surprisingly well in the mornings, especially if it's been washed the day before. I usually sleep with my hair loose (I'm trying to get used to sleeping with buns and braids, but I just can't get comfortable), but it really doesn't tangle much at all.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t262/schweedie/Hair/DSCN9698.png http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t262/schweedie/Hair/DSCN9332.png

The first one was this morning; the second one was a few days ago and is perhaps the most accurate one of my regular morning hair.

C'mon, people, let's see more! Any others who sleep with it down?

Luna12345

Yes, I know. My morning hair is super boring  I think it's because I apparently don't move when I sleep. That's what my SO's have always said. I just get into bed, fall asleep, and wake up in the exact same position.

Very well, here is a more entertaining one - once I accidentally fell asleep with my hair in a sockbun. After taking out the bun in the morning: anime hair! Woo! \(^(oo)^)/
