I thought I'd share this link:

http://www.fbi.gov/hq/lab/fsc/backissu/jan2004/research/2004_01_research01b.htm

it's to an FBI site with A LOT of microscope photos of hair and information about almost anything you can think of regarding forensic information concerning hair. I thought it was very interesting.

Isnt it amazing information? I've always wondered what the difference was between human and animal hair and it seems that each animal has hair that might be species specific. Also you can really see that curlier hair has a flatter cuticle and straighter hair has a round cuticle. I'd always heard that but never seen a picture of it.

That is so cool. I used a microscope a lot, back in college. When we got bored, we'd look at anything that we could find under the microscope. Fascinating.

What does hennaed hair look like under the microscope?

That's an interesting question! I guess it might look like the dyed strands at first glance. I dont know enough about the differences between what henna does to hair and what chemical dyes do to hair to really think of any differences.
