1 year anniversary! Geez, time does fly when you're having fun..

One of my very first thoughts today when I woke up was "hmm.. Didn't I join LHC last year around this time..?" And when I was awake enough to actually do something I came here to check and was shocked to find out that it was EXACTLY one year ago when I joined. So yay, happy anniversary me & my hair :). Here's a pic from October 18th 2008:

Even though I planned not to trim at all this year I've actually trimmed quite a lot (around 6 inches altogether I think). During summer time my ends suffered quite a bit and I also neglected them too much, shame on me, so I needed to trim. I also wanted to get rid of my fairytale ends (my hair is very eager to naturally grow into that shape), so two weeks ago I took matters into my own hands (or should I say took scissors into my own hands) and cut off about 2,5 inches. That was a pit painful, but I think my hair looks better now :).

My hair care routine hasn't changed: I still use shampoo bars+ACV+honey to wash and rinse my hair and in addition to them I've introduced myself to various Indian herbs, I use oils everyday and do deep oil treatments at least once a week and don't do almost any heat styling (I've blow dried my hair 3 times and straightened it 3 times during this whole year). Oh, the most important thing: I still dye my hair with henna.

All in all, it's been a good year and I can't wait to see what my hair looks like on my next anniversary!

Thank you so much you guys, you made my (otherwise somewhat gloomy and rainy) day! :D Haha, I think I'm sticking with my user name, it reminds me of what my hair used to be and that I never want to go back to that (getting chills here just thinking about it. And not the good kind..).

And Stephichan, trust me, as I am too very easily amused, during my work day I spring my curls to the point that they start to relax too much and I end up having these weird wavy (and therefore much longer) parts in my hair. Looks oh, so nice..

Your henna looks beautiful on your hair! I can definitely see a lot of growth even after your trimming! I know sometimes we have to trim to do something good for our hair, even though it can be hard knowing we will lose some growth too. It really looks wonderful! Happy Anniversary! :)
