Is there a way to make waist length hair LOOK like it's shoulder length? I seem to remember people in the past posting pics when they did this and it looked really real! Anyone have a link on how to do it?

Don't you tie the ends up in a ribbon, then tuck it under, and tie the tail of the ribbon around your head like it's a headband?

This is how I do it, as per a video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ton9wCOdrGI
1) make a very loose single braid in the back, so that the actual braided part starts at about the shoulder
2)roll up the braid under the rest of your hair and pin it in place

SM has pictures in her album, looks quite realistic too. I have thought of doing this when I get a whim to cut!

How about the Stardust (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=80)style? It makes my tailbone length look shoulder when it's done.

I don't know if this is what you want, but I've tried it last week. I found it on youtube, YouTips4u channel. Here's the link :) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B347qKB9Kag) All you need is a scarf. I know there's another way to do this when you have layers in your hair, but I don't.

This is the result on me :) loll .. Look weird. :p Pictures are clickable.

Pictures in my album with instructions. It's tricky but totally do-able with practice. I've tried the braid and pin under idea, too, but the pins would stay in. I'll have to try it with damp hair; pins stay in better.
