I can pretty much knit a rectangle and that is about it, but I found a couple of crochet versions on Raverly, so I might give one a whirl.

They're super easy to knit. A knitted calorimetry was the knitting project I learned on last year. There's a pattern on Ravelry for one - all you need to know how to do is knit and purl.

I made one last year. I was doubtful, but it really did keep my head warm :)

When I dig it out with the rest of my winter clothes, I'll post a pic.

I bought one from a member before. It's lovely but vanished after a couple uses. I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. That's just weird. If I make a new one I'll post here.

Oh cool - I literally finished mine last week!! And if I can do it ...... Honestly. It's a doddle :) And very satisfying to be able to wear something you've made yourself :D
I've got pictures - I'll need to load them up to my album first.

I am now going to make one for my mum and one for my cousin's 25th birthday. Yes, I am on a roll ha ha ha.

Thank you! I don't knit, but I sent this link to my sister who can with a big "hint hint" that it would make an awesome Christmas present for someone she knows. :D

My first crochet calorimetry and the skinny scarf I made to match. I am so pleased, as I never have done increases or decrease before and this was the perfect pattern to practice on. I added a picot stitch to the edges and I have gotten lots of compliments, as well as some requests for one as a Yule gifty. =) I got the pattern off raverly.
