Dear all, especially UK members,

I would like to try the SMT as recommended by a couple of members.

I am not sure about the aloe vera gel though. I have checked the lists given in the SMT thread however it seems like I can't lay my hand on any of the gels that are rated as working well. The only gel I have found so far is Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel from Boots. Does anyone of you have experience with it? Is it any good for SMD treatment? Or if not can anyone give me advice where to get other aloe vera gel, such as Fruit of the Earth aloe vera gel?

Thank you! :)

EDIT:
Here is a full list of the ingredients: Aqua, alcohol denant, glycerin, polysorbte 20, carboner, triethanolmine, aloe banderis, imidazolidinyl urea, parfum, lodopropynyl butylcarbamate, benzophenone-4, CL 19140, CL 42090.

I bought my aloe vera gel from Holland & Barrett, it has far less 'chemical' ingredients.

Yes I have that one. (I didn't like SMT at all, but that's another story).

Now you made me curious, Tabitha, why do you not like it?

Thanks, StormVixen for the link. It leads to a childrenwear retailer. But I think I know which shop you mean ;) .

I would steer clear of the Boots one, the alcohol content will be very drying. I also use the Holland and Barratt one, and I think they also sell other brands (is one called Aloe Pura, maybe?). You should look out for ones that say things like 99.9% pure on the label, then you know you are getting the real stuff with just the necessary preservatives added.

Holland and Barrett do sell Aloe Pura - I've used it and found it to be good quality.
Have fun with the SMT!
