Your hair looks absolutely stunning! Yes, you are definitely getting closer! I agree with you that you are 3 more inches when straight, and 4 when curly. I also think that it's possible to reach classic by autumn, even with trims :D I bet you are happy that you've reached TBL! I'm so happy for you as well! Happy growing! :)

So today I’m calling classic! Stretched is just past, unstretched is just brushing classic with the ends. I’m so excited, this has been a long term goal from when I first started this journey, not to mention an idle “how cool would it be?” For most of my life.

I am not sure if i mentioned this here yet. however this has been repeated a on another thread so some of you may know. i had the DH trim my hair i haven't taken any pictures from the back. i haven't measured since October. therefore i am just going by feel and the body marker milestones. but i went from classic all the way back to TBL. i felt like my dyes damaged ends really needed to go and so snip they went. i am in the no trim 2020 and i am hoping to be back to classic by 20201. however what ever happens happens. when i shower it feels solidly TBL while wet. i'm taking car to oil my ends every day and they do feel much better. i am already 3 months into not cutting my hair. so onward to longer and stronger. while my ends a thicker then they were they are still thin. on the plus side i haven't found any splits. so i'm officially re joining here.

Welcome to the thread! That's great that you've gotten rid of all the dyed damaged ends, and now you are starting off to healthier hair at TBL. That's awesome! I bet it's an awesome feeling to have hair as long as TBL! Especially, when it's wet. :) That's also great that you are now taking care of your hair by oiling your ends everyday. Yeah, you gotta keep those ends at least moisturized. Or, over time they will break off. Keep up the good work! I'm also hoping by 2021 I'm at solid classic length too. Or, hopefully before 2021. Like, some time in January of 2021.

Hi! I’ve just reached tailbone when dry and unstretched, which is how I measure length. I’m hoping for classic by the end of 2020, but we’ll see. I’m still going strong with just dusting the very ends once or twice a year since I want to maintain my fairytale ends. Style-wise, I’m pretty much living in a Gibraltar bun held with a fork or small claw clips (don’t love how they look but sometimes I just need to distribute the weight differently). My routine has gotten simpler the longer my hair has gotten, and it’s been nice to just stick with what works and not think about it. I’m enjoying this length, but excited to keep growing!

Congratulations on reaching tailbone length! :) Your bun style looks very nice. I'm feeling very positive for you that you will make it to classic by the end of 2020! My length almost hip length, and my style these days is either in a high ponytail. Or, a half bun in a soft scrunchie. I have a few toys, forks, and sticks that a friend of mine gave me last year but now I really need to get use to practicing on how to use them. :D I'm hoping by the end of 2020 I will have reached tailbone length. I think with my positive thinking for you between now and the end of the year is a lot of time for new hair growth! And, that's even for the both of us!

I know the feeling, it's hard to see the growth when you have wavy or curly hair, it depends how much shrinkage there is, if the hair is in a big and poofy state it can look a lot shorter too even if it's straighter. How about taking a stretched length shot? You can see the growth better then. :)

Your hair looks beautiful regardless, but i understand how stuck you feel on the visual aspect of length. I have similar hair texture to yours and I go by stretched length to avoid the aggravation of not seeing any progress on the growth front.

Hi Everyone :waving:
After a trim a few months ago, I am brushing HIP once again, and since my hair has become mostly fine/wispy silver this past year, I am noticing it feels less heavy as well.
Less weight = more comfort = inclines me to go for TBL by Christmas again, and with the "No-trimming 2020! challenge" it will be no problem.
Long term I am even considering going for Classic by January 2022 when I hit 70.....which seems appropriate right?! :o
So I will be lurking in here for inspiration, in the hopes of joining you by the end of the year
Happy growing cheer: ~ you all look amazing

Stretched gives more hope, because even though I am 2c in my curly state compared to your 3a, I get 2-3 inches of shrinkage!
I use number measurements as a 'guestimate' for growth time but I don't go by that exclusively because growth can ebb and flow depending on seasons, health etc.
I also use 'body markers' for growth landmarks....rolls, moles, dimples etc ;)
So yeah, get help to take a strecthed pic then guestimate when you'd hit classic; I bet it will be within 2020; probably sooner that later but even if it is later it would be a matter of a couple of months if all is well fr healthy growth.
But mostly...HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE JOURNEY :cheer: :flowers:

I'm hoping to finally rejoin this thread in June! It'll be about a year and a half after chopping from TBL to hip.
TBL-classic is just over a year on me, I think, but I have a feeling I'll be hanging out in this thread for a pretty long time, considering I have a lot of damage to chop off, so I think I'll be maintaining somewhere between TBL and FTL for quite a while.

I'm going to join as I've finally, for the first time in my life, measured my hair. If I've done this correctly, tailbone on me was 38in and classic should be 43.5in. I'm currently at 42in.
I have no idea how fast my hair grows as I've never measured it before but my friends used to tell me all the time they thought it grew pretty fast (I would sometimes not see them for months as I would be away during the summer holidays and my hair growth would be the first thing they would comment on every time when they greeted me). It definitely has slowed down over the last few years, whether that's from being older or that I may be reaching terminal (or both?) but if I go with the average of 0.5in per month, I should hit classic in June without trimming. That works very well for me because I definitely want to hit classic by the end of Nov for my friend's wedding for ease of putting it up (I am maid of honor).

So close to classic, my hair reaches there when it's wet... aand even dry, if I stretch it straight. (My hair is straight, but those last fairytale ends tend to be wavy.) There's no visible damage or dryness or split ends, so I guess I just need to be patient now :D
I've started wondering what next, classic has been my ultimate goal, but there's a little hair voice in my head and it whispers "past classic, imagine that". (You know the voice I guess.) Will I ever be satisfied

I'm in the same boat, just hit classic and the little voice is whispering to be too. I' m growing on for now. Depending on how I feel I can always cut back to classic, and the idea of a decent trim with fresh ends at some point is very tempting....but I also kinda want to see how much longer it will grow.

So after my catastrophy of the hairdresser cutting off 25 cm instead of 5... I am finally back in a good place.
I was too scared to cut my hair after that trauma and didn't cut it for over a year and three months. I was finally back at tailbone.
I still wanted to go for classic, but after not cutting so long I really needed a trim. Thankfully I found an amazing hairdresser this time and she literally just cut the ends.
My hair feels great and still nice and long. I couldn't have it measured, I live alone and we're are all in lockdown here.
So here is my question, I start to notice that my hair is becoming longer than my body when I sit. In the past when my hair was growing longer, I naturally found ways to handle it differently.
However, this one is a bit more challenging for me? I feel akward and I can't seem to find a comfortable way to have my hair out of the way when I go to the bathroom for instance.
I keep my hair to the side, but it feels weird. It feels like it could still move around and maybe by accident get into the pot :p
Maybe it's mainly the feeling of always having your hair to the side? I love having my hair thrown over the back of my chair. Which I think will still be possible with classic length.
But that's not possible on the toilet :)
I would love to hear tips, trics, preferred hair positions in different circumstances...

I kind of floof it behind me, if that makes sense. Maybe because I have whurls, I can make it seem shorter by just losely putting it behind me, so I don't end up sitting on it. Or I'll stick it to the side. Or over the back of the chair, like in your signature pic.
Bathroom... yeah I definitely stick it over a shoulder. :D
Also, your hair is very beautiful and shiny.

I keep a claw clip next to the toilet, and double it up, clip it, for my night-time bathroom visits. Works great!
Of course I always bun it once I'm up, so it doesn't bother me at all during the day.
Glad to see you back here! I'm so sorry about that experience. That's awful. 25cm is a lot! :(

I wrap my hair around my neck like a scarf when I go to the bathroom lol. Sometimes I do that when I'm sitting on the couch too. Otherwise I quickly bun it.

Scarf method is my go-to. I tend to wear my hair down around the house, and around classic I loop my braid or loose hair a few times around my hair and clip them with a claw clip so I don’t sit on them.

Hey, when I used to wear classic length extensions, and trying to go to the bathroom that's all I would do too....is, put my hair to one side so it didn't fall into the pot. :p
And, as my hair reaches that length I will continue to practice that. Your hair is always soooooo pretty and shiny. The longest I'm shooting for right now is mid-thigh length. I remember when I first joined here 10 years ago I had set my goal or limits to hip length. Or, classic length but I really want to see where my terminal length is.

For the bathroom, I just move my braid to the front, but YMMV- I almost always have my hair in a braid, unless it's in a bun.
However, if I'm working out with a braid, I have done the extremely stylish and not at all weird looking trick of wrapping my braid across my chest, under the strap of my sports bra, and then around it a couple times. This looks absolutely ridiculous but it's quick, it doesn't tug on my scalp while running, and who expects to look good while exercising, anyway? This trick would work in the bathroom, too, if you're wearing a top with a wide enough neckline to access your bra strap. It probably would work if your hair is medium thickness or less and not in a braid, you'd just have to twist it a bit.

I keep an emergency hair stick in my purse when I go out if my hair is down, or simply make sure to have my hair already up. There’s emergency hairsticks tucked away in the bathroom too. My hair absolutely has to be in a bun when I use the bathroom or there will be an impromptu hair wash because it will brush the toilet regardless of which way I lean and where I’ve put my hair. It takes less than a minute to put it up. It doesn’t have to be cute in an emergency; just unable to touch the toilet or dangle past the seat.

So this is where I am. I’d be at classic already but cut off 7 inches a couple of years ago because I didn’t like the taper. Now I’ve come to realize that hair has to taper. It’s just the way it grows. Another thing I’ve learned is to NEVER pick up scissors on a day when you aren’t necessarily loving your hair. Hair goes through good days and bad days just like our moods and chopping hair off because you are having a bad hair day isn’t a sensible thing to do. I’m still trying to get used to the taper thing. Now when I braid I leave about 8 or 9 inches at the ends. My braids look nicer. I’m really hoping to reach classic. Tailbone length and a little beyond is the longest I’ve ever grown my hair.

hennalonghair I am also trying to remember that taper is normal! I am a bit over classic and do have a lot of taper. You have curly hair too - I'm actually thankful for some taper, because it might make it more manageable when it decides to poof. :)

Hey, since you've said that Tailbone length and a little beyond is the longest you've ever grown your hair....Do, you think it's possible to grow to extreme lengths that you've never had before? Even if you've had 2 people only on one side of your family that has had Classic length hair before? The longest my hair has ever been during my childhood was either MBL or BSL. My mom would always tell me, "Your hair will never grow to extreme lengths," Like, to your butt. Or, pass it. She always tells me that, "It's not in my genes," and my aunt on my father's side of the family has told both of us that I CAN grow hair as long as Classic length! Right now, my hair is at it's longest I have let it grow out to (which is 22"). That is 2 or 3" from my waist. As long as I've had long hair I've never had any issues or problems with tapering since my hair is sooooo thick.

Your hair is very much like mine except you have a bit more taper but I love your hair which is why I’m so glad I came back here. I get far too anal about having thick healthy ends cause I’ve never been a fan of fairy tale ends. Now that I’ve learned how to style and care for my ends, I have a different perspective completely.
Most of my hairstyles are braids but now I leave a good 8 or 9 inches unbraided and re-curl all that so my braid looks much thicker all the way down. It looks so much nicer so NOW I’m ready to reach terminal length, even at 60.
About 3 years ago I saw a woman with long silver hair all the way down to her knee and I knew right then that it was what I wanted. In fact, the tapering of the hair dislike has prevented me from having really long hair my entire life and I’m looking at it now , as a true challenge. I can tell that my hair will probably look like yours once I reach classic and when I’m there I’ll decide whether to grow longer or not. I do still like a healthy hemline though so it’s a constant inner struggle. Now I know I’m not alone on this one. Lol
Thanks :cheer:

While I think that genetics plays a major role in things like terminal length, I also think that ‘care and maintenance’ , diet and exercise , what products you use, how well you protect your hair , has to come into play. There’s some with great genetics who bleach their hair, use heat styling tools and still have fabulous hair. Those who take exceptional care of their hair can have nicer looking hair but there are so many factors to consider that I don’t think anyone has the exact answer to this. Of course it’s possible. Anything’s possible. My dad is 91 and last year I had to take him to the hair dressers because his thick curly silver / grey hair was at BSL. I kid you not. My moms hair was the longest I’d ever seen it but that’s because they weren’t going to their hairdressers any more. Senility has set it. I kept threatening them that I was going to give them matching French braids.
Conclusion: Genes aren’t everything but neither is desire ;however if you want something bad enough you work towards your goal each day. Anything’s possible.
Happy Growing trails to you. :cheer:

You are so not alone! I personally would like to increase my lower thickness over the next few years... I think becoming active on LCH and starting to wear hair toys/protective styles last year will help. But I also think some taper can be nice, if still cared for. My hair is neither thick nor non-tapered, so I have to remind myself of this occasionally. Happy growings :blossom:

I think taper actually looks very nice! It's the natural way most people's hair will look if they don't cut it, and it helps keep things like braids in place without needing to use hair ties.

I think taper is nice too and I actually like fairy tale ends on other people’s hair. My biggest problem was undiagnosed OCD.
Now that I understand I have it, I’m able to work through thoughts & ideas whereas before I’d get stuck. I’ve got taper and I’m ok with it about 70% of the time. Lol

I feel like I'm finally getting close to classic which would be the longest my hair has ever been so it's still quite surreal to me. Depending on the shrink and waves it's sometimes hitting classic but often it's in the area between tbl and classic. So I still want to wait until it hits classic at least 90% of the time before calling it classic length.

I just noticed, that I currently have one almost straight strand, and it reaches just to the line between butt and thigh. Can I call this classic? :D
Normally I am 2-3 cm away from classic, if I don't stretch my waves straight.

It's up to you if you want to call it. Calling stretched is perfectly allowed! :) Personally, I call stretched because there's no way I'd have the patience to call milestones according to my inconsistent waves. :D It'd end up like:
"Hey guys, I'm calling tailbone!"
The next day: "Nevermind, I'm going back to the previous thread!"
The next day: "Hey again!!"
A week later: "I think I'm back to BCL!"
A month later: "I think I can call tailbone again...?"

I wish, but still nop - just a couple of hairs are at classic, stretched. I don't call lenghts until they are way closer, at least when most of the mane is there stretched :) I will trim quite a bit at the end of June, so classic is still months away... Milady_DeWinter it looks glorious. I would call it at this point, but everyone calls it at different points.
I had my hair partially up in a bun to dry overnight (it came out during the night, sigh) but I woke up with my hair pretty wavy/curly, especially at the ends, and I think it was still at "can I call it classic?". I'm pleased. I called it when I got there stretched, but it's nice to get there unstretched, too. I wish I had gotten a picture.

I like to complicate things, so I call milestones about 1-2 months after getting there stretched lol. So it still doesn't look as is when curly, but closer than if I called unstretched. Anyway, as said just a mini strand is there stretched, so it's not my time yet. I will call it when it will be 42 or 42.5" stretched, so with my incoming trim late next month, I calculate november more or less. Meanwhile I"m enjoying this lenght a lot :o

It took me 9 months with a couple trims (Oct 2018-July 2019). I had closer to 9cm inbetween milestones though. I'd guess it would take you a couple months longer if you didn't trim much, and had average growth. :)

From Dec 14, 2018 (tailbone) to April 30, 2019 (classic). So, 4 1/2 months? That doesn't seem very long.
ETA: I guess I called tailbone unstretched and classic stretched. So that makes up for it.

More alarming to me was the fact I managed to trim my way out of Classic without even realizing it!
I guess I was just comfortable with my length so much that it didn’t occur to me to keep checking in the mirror.
Now I’ll never know how long my longest length up to this point was. I know it was below Classic, but definitely not in knee territory yet... it’s an unsolvable mystery.
From now on, I am taking length pictures before any trim I do.

I think I'm going to join this thread. I'm not sure how actively I'll be growing to classic since I'm growing out some damage as well, but I think I'm going to try for classic again. I had classic length hair a couple years after I joined LHC and it was pretty awesome. Now, I'm not sad I cut it back when I did, but I'm ready for it again. (A small part of my mind has LHC-itis and says to try going longer than classic).

I've been REALLY busy this year (bad neighbours, bad landlord, moving between towns and such) so I sadly haven't gotten the time to even think about my hair other than basic maintenance, let stand browsing LHC or taking decent pictures of it to see growth progress. :( But I washed my hair today and had free time and I thiiiiink I can start calling my hair length classic now. :o My hair is BCL or below when braided, TBL when braided + stretched or a good 3 or so cm below classic when stretched and loose.

(please ignore the random M-shape of my ends, which happens to be present in both pictures! It was simply a function of the way I had let my hair down, my hair does have a normal hemline!)
I'm pretty shocked. This seems like waaaaaay more than a regular amount of growth. I actually checked multiple pictures to make sure I wasn't imagining it, but no, this definitely happened. I guess this demonstrates the power of putting it up and forgetting about it :D
Edit: I'm average height as well, so it's not like that distance is particularly small on me!

So I'm not sure what happened exactly, but it felt like my hair wasn't growing for the longest time, and then over the past couple of months I was really busy and didn't check, and..... O.o
This is June 2nd this year
https://i.ibb.co/jD61BGW/118356951-1345244449186173-1977542261688215905-n.jpg (https://ibb.co/M723WpG)
And this is yesterday!

Wow, I mean... Look at the location of the hair vs. your jeans' pockets. That is some growth for such a small time. Amazing! :D :applause

Looking good Shorty! :) I think it's about the first time I've seen your hair all down. Very pretty and great color! Are you sure you want to be trimming? If you grow on right now maybe you'll get to classic by Christmas. ;)
Really? I guess I haven't posted many length shots in the last while. I wish I could forgo trims entirely, but my ends are already damaged and split and knot easily. I've been doing micro trims most months so I should hopefully get some length still. I enjoy those people who can go many months between trims, but even with healthy ends, I find that it's better for my hair to get small, frequent trims than larger ones infrequently.

Does anyone have a problem with a sore scalp with these hair lengths?
My skin has been getting very sensitive lately. I have to change my hair up every hour or two. I can rarely wear one bun for half a day. I recently tried pinning the front section of my hair up, but then my skin starts to ache where I have a hairpin. Today, even after making the braid, I had a lot of skin pain from one strand. I tried to pick them up and loosen them, but it all failed. I let my hair down.

I measured my hair yesterday. Recently, I have the impression that they are not growing at all. I am 95 cm (37.4 in). Until November, I wanted a classic length, but I'm already going crazy. Why is this taking so long?

This length looks so good on you. Your length looks so much longer on you than mine does on me. I’m at 39 inches but it only looks at about hip length.

Your hair looks nice at that length. I think you will hit classic length by November. I know at times hair does seem like it takes so long to grow. My hair growth slows down at times too but then I start to go through growth spurts. :)

hennalonghair thank you. I think I made a measurement mistake. I measured with my method from the parting in the middle of the head, dragging a centimeter to the side of the head. Not as is customary on the LHC, from forehead to back. This measurement gives me a little over 40". Sorry to mislead you. I need to switch to this measurement method.
Dark40 thank you very much for your kind words. I also noticed that sometimes my hair grows faster and sometimes slower, but the slowdown has been going on for quite a long time :(. It annoys me.
I am glad that you have a faster growth after slow growth. I hope you make up the length then.

You're welcome very much. Yes, I know that the slowdown hair growth can be annoying. :( But at least it does pick back up. I remember before joining here at LHC my hair grew so slow I thought that I would never reach 22" long! But now I have, and it's getting longer. Yes, I think that I will make up the length over time. I just hope to reach TBL soon! That seen soo far from WL+!

I have been on this thread for quite a while. I did tough it out and grew to classic which I hit just at Christmas 2019. Since then I have been trimming back to find a sweet spot I liked. [Not classic} My fairy tale ends were soooo thin. I am now at about an inch below tail bone with nice even much thicker ends. I like it. This may be my sweet spot.

I don't even know, Dark40, how fast my hair used to grow. For sure better care and massages helped. I started measuring in September 2019 and I do it every month.
I think if you are patient and regular with what you do, you will get there faster than you think. At LHC, I read threads from start to finish. Sometimes I see someone say that she will probably never have a CL. Then I see a post by the same person a few years later it's knee length!
bparnell75 congratulations on achieving CL, but yeah ... convenience comes first.

That's okay, I know that mine grows a half 1 cm per month. So, I think on average that is fast but as you know they always say the normal growth rate is a quarter of an inch per month. You are very right of being patient and being regular at what you do, you will get there faster than you think, At LHC. I also read threads from start to finish as well. I at times see someone say that she will probably never have a CL too, and then I'll see a post by the same person a few years later it's knee length! When I see them saying that I say, "That's good for you!" "You shouldn't have said anything like that about that person." Because, I'm like people like that...how do they know how long your hair can and can't grow?

I will follow this post with attention. Your hair are so amazing. I'm on my way to Classic Length since months now. I trim my hair so frequently because my ends are so damaged and become so thin. I think I can't post a photo now because I'm a Newbies but your message on this thread are so motivating.

I think it will take me about a year to reach Classic.

Congratulations on making it an inch past tailbone length! :) Hey, I am going through the same thing as far as my hair texture change too! At first as long as I've been a member here at LHC I've always been relaxing my hair, but now lately I haven't relaxed my hair in 8 months! But, I did color my hair today! I also think my hair texture changes in autumn too. Oh, I love my hair all year round.
Why do you say you think your hair will take you about a year to reach classic? Isn't classic length 2 or 3 inches away from tailbone length? Your hair growth rate must be slow every month. I know that my hair grows fast like 1/2 inch per month.

I will keep my challenge going of no pictures 2020 but I definitely love my length and starting 2021 I am going to mirotrim for health and thickening my ends! I'll be leaving this thread as I'll stay around upper thigh. Thank you all and happy growing!!

Hey there! Welcome back! I was wondering where you have been? Congratulations on reaching pass Classic length! I knew that you can do it. You see, what they say when you trim less often? That's what I'm going to be doing less often in 2021! Hopefully, I will reach pass Hip Length. Yes, keep microtrimming for health and thickening your ends! Yes, please stay around upper thigh. You're welcome and happy growing!!!

Not the best shot since my curls are just air dried and not enhanced on any way, but oh well :) I will maintain for a good while at this length or close to it, so I can finally get rid of those evil layers :D

I decided to republish my post. Please don't hold it against me. So far I have the same problem. I worked from home and managed somehow, but now I'm changing jobs and will have to stay in the office. I prefer not to show how long my hair is and not waste time changing my pinup every hour or two. You know, the employer looks at efficiency. For over a month, I have also been trying to wash my hair standing upright. The weight of the water also pulls the hair in front, but I had pain long before I changed my way of washing. Go back to washing your head down? I don't know. Today I was wondering if I can continue to grow my hair, because it seems to me that the roots of some hair are no longer doing well :taz:.
ETA: I'll leave a link to the skin pain thread here:

Maybe you should make a thread about it. I know there are others here who have problems with sore scalp and it can be caused by various things like routine and how you wear your hair ect. Maybe those who have been able to solve it would know the right answer to help.
I know it can be caused sometimes by if your hair is always pointing in one direction and then you switch it to another. Such as if you go from wearing it down all the time to wearing it up. It can bother some people's follicles. Maybe you could try braiding it sometimes instead to give your scalp a rest when you still need it contained, or try placing your bun on a different area of your head?

Have you tried using a boar bristle brush at all? I have to vary my styles (I prefer a topknot bun placement but alternate with braids so I’m not always pulling my hair follicles in one direction) but brushing every other or every two days with a bbb in different directions really helps stave off sore scalp ime.

The LHC search engine is really bad so if there happens to already be a thread on the topic that you haven't found, a mod will help you find it and merges your thread with the older one :)

I'm sorry :(. Are you okay?
I have stress before my new job, but I think more contact will be via e-mail.
My best friend is just finishing quarantine. She was diagnosed with covid. This is the first person around me. I wonder what her lung tests will show. She was not in the hospital during her illness, but had breathing problems. If it turns out she's okay (hopefully) then going to work will be less stressful. It is known that everyone is afraid of these complications after an illness.

Oh no, we're okay, thanks for asking. I only worked part time and since we had to cut out childcare and just plain stayed home more, it all kind of evened out. Thank goodness I wasn't the major breadwinner and my spouse's job wasn't affected.
I hope your friend is okay too! There is so much we don't know about this illness. :(

Good, I'm glad you are coping through this difficult time.
Yes, my friend is fine now. He's waiting for a medical examination. Strangely, her family is only now beginning to fall ill.
I have been in my new job for two days and my employer is constantly complaining about the pandemic. Has some financial loss. This is terrible.
But from the good news from work ... two days at LWB and my scalp didn't hurt so much. There is progress!

Am I already in classic? What do you think about it?

Beautiful, Carries hair. I think you are just brushing classic and in one more month you will be there solidly :)

You're hair is so pretty! I love how thick it is. It looks like you're right at classic to me.
I don't have super thick hair. It's more of an illusion after brushing them. And washing. After washing, they have more volume, but one day in a bun is enough and they look like there are less of them.

So you advise not to organize a party on this occasion yet? :p All in all, I can wait a month to be sure.
It is difficult to take a picture with wavy hair. When wet, I felt that my hair, pushed back, was already on my thighs, but I prefer to be classic dry. And I'm so happy to be so close.

Yes but its just my opinion since your hand is on classic and the hair doesn't quite touch your hand, or maybe it just touches it, its hard to see for me. But others thought you could call it :) I think it looks like you are just brushing up on it, allllmost there, basically there, but maybe need a tad bit more to be certain. Its up to you!! Sometimes I have called a goal when I was just brushing it.

I understand. I don't cut my hair anyway, so I can wait another month. Eventually I'll do a small party . I planned to celebrate the CL with a dinner or something like that. It's gonna be a happy day, hi hi.

Super pretty, Carrie's hair! :thud:
I checked my length in the shower this evening. The longest strands are about 2 cm from classic! I know I was planning a 5 cm trim for the New Year, but it just might be that I won't have the heart to trim so much. I'm too excited about the length!

In a situation like that, it's like "can I call this?" and IMO yes you can. If it's not there (which IMHO it is), it is close enough, that hair's length isn't gonna matter to call a length!

That's so exciting for you! Maybe maintain at classic a while and slowly trim off?

I would love to maintain for half a year or so, but at the same time, I love participating in the no-trimming challenges, and I love seeing a big difference when I trim. However, I don't like losing length. Lol, such a contradiction. :|
ETA: I may have come up with a solution. Perhaps, if I trim a bit less now at the end of this year, and keep growing for the first half of 2021, I can maintain for the rest of the year and skip that challenge. It's less essential for me to gain length later in the year as the medieval events take place in the summer. I also don't want to grow past FTL with my current ends, so I want to get rid of 5-10 cm of crap hair before growing past that milestone.

That sounds like a good idea, it means you can still do one challenge, get rid of more damage and not lose too much Length

Sorry for leaving a silly reply here but it just occurred to me that making updates for this thread consists of taking photos of your butt. I feel like a 10 year old for finding this funny

I keep my fingers crossed for you, Ylva. I also have a plan to stay in classic for a while, although FTL tempts me more and more.

Ankle length? I? Probably not. I already have a lot of narrowing at the bottom of my hair. I do not know if I will reach FTL, and I do not plan any more. For now...
