One of my favorite go-to styles, since I'm not that great on french-braiding my own hair.

Oh, and an example of my addiction to tie-dye. Is there a self-help group for this?

Your braid is lovely, Tapioca. You did a really nice job but then again, how can you miss with such beautiful hair? Well done!

'Scuse my possible dumbness, but... how does this braid work? Do you gather into a pony first?
I like it :)

My hair is that thick, too.

If I get my DD, my BFF, and my two long-hair sons to lend me their hair to braid in with mine, that is. Otherwise, I don't stand a chance :)

Tapioca, your hair is just the best! *sigh* That style is lovely on you.

I'll have to add you to my list of braid goals. Dianyla, igor, Stagecoach and now Tapioca ;) :D
All have braids that I want--huge and thick/damage doing braids :D (in the respect of being like a weapon)

The Dianyla Braid is one of my absolute favorites... as you can see in my signature :)

However, Tapioca, your braid is luscious and thick... beautiful braid! :flower:

For the uninitiated, I went and looked it up. Here (http://archive.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=23652) are some instructions on how to do Dianyla's braid from the old forum.

Thank you, Verdan! And here I was, wracking my brains, trying to describe how I do it. Simple answer: Just like the link says.

Thank you so much. Yet another pearl lost in the depths of the achieves :)

Weird..that's how I usually braid my hair--very high up, which is why when I've gotten a trim, hair dressers (before I found my current one) were shocked at the length. One girl said 'that's really mis-leading'.

I wish I had the thickness of Dianyla or Igor or Stagecoach or Tapicoa. :) But, I'm happy with my crown. I think it works for my needs :)

I'm surprised Dianyla could take photos of that braid in progress! I drop things without a camera in my hand when I'm braiding! Hahahah.
