It's called The Sleeping Dictionary and came out in 2003. It's an independent film and has to be my favorite now. Which is sayin somethin because I wouldn't budge away from Under the Tuscan Sun as my favorite movie.
Jessica Alba is the beautiful Selima and wears her hair in a few styles I wish I could replicate.
Anyone else seen AND loved this movie -and the hair??:)

I've never heard of it. I don't remember Jessica Alba ever having much length to her hair. Do you have any pics you could put up? I always love seeing creative updos. I just saw Memoirs of a Geisha again and was reminded how much I enjoyed Hatsumomo's hair styles. Her hair was mostly hair pieces unfortunately, but still lovely.

Wow... thought there might be a little more interest. Anyway, here are some pics. I couldn't find a better view of the beautiful updos though...:rolleyes:http://www.virginmedia.com/images/dictionary-431x300.jpg

What´s the story of the film? I´ve never heard of it before, but I´m interested, of course :-D

This is a plot quote from one of those websites:
In 1936, the expatriated young and naive just-graduated British John Truscott (Hugh Dancy) arrives to the Sarawak, a British colony, to work in the Iban society. The beautiful Selima (Jessica Alba) is assigned to be his "sleeping dictionary", to live and sleep with him and teach him the language and habits of the locals. The reluctant John and Selima fall in love for each other in a forbidden romance. I think the story is a little deeper than this -it is at least for me. A very happy ending as well...

I do have to say the hair looks good. She does look on the younger side.

I'll have to check that out! What a good movie to watch while you're hair's in a deep treatment or something. :D

Ooh, I'll have to check it out too. I'm not generally a fan of Alba movies, but I'm always on the lookout for inspiring hair! Thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks for sharing these pics! Her hair looks great. Now if I had a longer, thinner, neck, I might look good in that low updo.... (o:
