Oh no! I don't think it's the weather change that has made the bottom of my hair all crunchy and tangley. I think it's the fact that my hair has grown just long enough for me to rub it between me and the office chair. I know y'all have said to cover my chair with satin or something, but I've not had the money yet to buy the fabric. Besides, we've just hit cardigan weather and my hair is rubbing against the rough yarn now. It seems best for me to pull my hair up more often than not (it's not my favorite thing to do because the weight pulling in one location makes my head hurt). SO, I need y'all to cheer me on and encourage me to put my hair up anyways. Suggestions for simple, early morning up-dos would be appreciated too. :cheer:

Put the hair up! LOL You don't want to end up like my ends did after years of rubbing on chairs, sigh. It's so annoying.

And yeah I hate crunchy ends.

Is it long enough to bring around to the front? Short enough for a peacock twist?

You might want to look into braids, as well. Braids eat some length, so your hair wouldn't be rubbing against the chair. You can tie them off with a scrunchy, ribbon, or (my favorite) ties made out of old pantyhose.

I have crunchy ends right now, too. Mine are because I used mousse the other day. Mousse is evil, and has made my hair crunchy, sticky, and tangly.

Hmmm... Orchid wrap buns (http://chatter.thebeautybottle.com/showthread.php?t=1325) are quick and easy, if you're looking for quick and simple ideas.

I've been meaning to get a snood. That might solve the problem of updos pulling. I think you can just kinda stuff all the hair up in them, without pulling or twisting your hair, so it's nice for your scalp. I know you can find them on Etsy, or you could probably find a pattern and crochet one.

That's a great resource! Thanks!
