I think everyone got at least one little or big anomaly in their hair. Does it curl clockwise while wet and counter-clockwise while dry? Does it turn green while watching Star Wars? :D
For me, my most noticed anomaly is that when I dye my hair with henna (only henna, no indigo or cassia), my hair turns copper red, as expected. Except a section of the hair behind my left ear... Which turns blonde!
I don't mind it really, looks quite cool. :cheese:
How about you? What does your hair do, when it shouldn't be doing it? :)

The shortie hairs on the back of my neck (you know, the ones that aren't damaged or cut, but just won't GROW any longer?) grow in different directions on either side. The hairs on the right side under my ear grow upwards and fade easily into my updos and braids.....but the left side grows downward and curls into ringlets. It looks cute, but weird lol.

Mine naturally curls under on one side of my head and up on the other side. Also, the top layer is fairly straight, and it is much wavier underneath. And there is one piece that is extremely curly, which doesn't show because it is most underneath at the bottom of my head. When I used to go to stylists, more than once, I got embarrassed because the stylist would call all the other stylists to come look at my freaky-looking curl underneath the rest of my mostly straight hair. :D

the baby hairs around my scalp grow in a completely different direction from the other hair around the. Regular hair goes to the left, baby hairs go to the right. It's easily solved or disguised, but crazy.
aside from that, my hair is just regular old hair. sure...the left side is a bit wavier than the right. I wish I knew how much of a difference is due to updos or how I sleep!

Hehe, that sounds cute! You can have two different updo's on each side. :D

Ooh, my hair is also wavier to the left! Maybe it's because the right side gets more combed/brushed than the left if you're right-handed... But I'm not sure.

My hair is for the most part 2c/3a or so, but at the nape of my neck I have a section of hair that's at least 3b or 3c. I don't mind, it's kind of cool, but I've always thought it was odd.

I have baby hairs by my temples that DO NOT GROW. They've been 2 inches long my entire life. I also have a piece in the back of my head that is a 3a.

The hair sprouting from my widow's peak has never grown beyond chin length in as long as I can remember. The hair around my hairline is also supercurly.
I've got naturally very dark brown hair that in many lights, looks black - but I've got several, close to a hundred maybe, bright red hairs streaking through it. The color is such a bright, clear red that it seems to me like I've got rubies in my hair!

I have these awful weird hair that occur rarely- the actually strand gets thicker and thinner along the length- how strange! (is this damage?)

There's too few to be able to see them from a distance, but I think it's pretty cool. Can't imagine where I got those genes from though

I think my hair in general in an anomaly...
Mostly I am blond with relatively straight fine hair but mixed in with that are superfine diaphanous white hairs, coarse flat brown hairs, wavy ginger hairs, and strangest of all, really thick round wire-like curly jet black hairs.
I think this is probably due to the hair colours of my relatives; my dad and his dad both have a mixture of dark and light blond hair, my mum has dark brown hair, one of my nans is a natural platinum blonde - now white, the other has curly ginger hair, and my other granddad has black hair...

I am naturally almost black (in terms of hair colour) but I always seem to grow a single blond hair by my temples. It is bizarre, I thought it was grey at first, but it's actually blond.
That and how fast my hair grows, its stupidly fast. I am in the progressing of growing hair colour out (which I last dyed at the end of June) and I measured my regrowth last week(and got someone else to double check) and it was 3.5 inches! (you can see in my sig what I mean)

My fine blond hair has some really course dark strands. That's not the weird thing - I know a lot of people have those. But if I shed one and I look at it, a lot of the time it will be fine and blond on one half and course and dark on the other. It changes in the middle.
Maybe this is typical for weird hairs, but it certainly seems strange to me!

Most of my hair goes straight-ish by the third day of combing out/updos, but I have one lock that is extra-super wavy, so when I put my hair up, it never lays smooth and the back of my head looks oddly bumpy.

My hair anomaly is that my hair has changed colors drastically and naturally at least 5 times.
I was born with black hair, which lightened to blonde, then brown, then blonde, then dark brown, then medium brown.
Supposedly I'll go back to black at 20ish because my father went through the same thing.

My hair is fairly straight, except for the section at the back of my neck below earlobe level. That hair is curly, and shorter than the rest of my hair (I assume because of breakage.) It's always getting in little knots or snarls which I used to rip through with a hair brush. Now that I'm paying more attention to my hair, and not dragging brushes through it, this curly section is getting longer.

I think it's weird that the last inch of my hair curls in a ringlet that is a 3c, but the hair that goes from my scalp down to that is nearly straight. Looks very odd sometimes.

I have this one spot in my bangs that bounces up so it looks shorter than the rest, even when I know it's not. I usually have to try several times to trim it so it looks even, then sweep it all to the side and forget about it.
I don't know if it counts, since it only happened once, but my hair set off a metal detector at the airport. I wasn't wearing any barrettes, or hair sticks or anything---finally the security person had to let me through because it was clear there were no weapons there!

My hair tends to veer to one side on the crown of my head. I hate styling products and have given up trying to tame it.....guess I'll just have to learn to live with it.

I have naturally golden blondish hair, but sometimes I'll find dark black or coppery red hairs. I never quite understood how this happens.
My hair is only 2c from my ears down (except for the front pieces). From ears up, it's more like a 1c. I also have weird strands underneath that could possibly be classified as 3. So, basically, my hair looks a mess since I've given up heat styling!
Then there are the horrible cowlicks. When I have bangs, they can stand up on their own.

I have two strands in the front of my hair that are 2c while the rest of my hair is 1b. They refuse to blow dry straight but they always look really good when I have my hair down.

Mine can be quite wavy one day and stick straight the next. I can't find any pattern to it in terms of treatment or products.
Also, the sides and underneath are lighter in colour than the top, which makes no sense in terms of exposure to the environment!

My entire head is more or less dark reddish to brownish reddish, exept one strand at my nape, which is light blonde and not reddish at all. I never noticed until i started wearing buns all the time and checking them in the mirror. I once got asked, why I forgot to dye that strand! I'd have to ask my hair genes to find out why that strand is so much lighter.

Well, my hair is pretty normal now I think. When it's around shoulder length and shorter though you could clearly see that the ends flip out on one side and in on the other. This kept me using a curling iron on my ends every day for many years and is one of the things that I'm so happy I don't have to deal with any more.
