I have seen this oil (http://www.gargsuperstore.com/images/niharnaturals.jpg) during my last stop to the Indian grocery store.
Have you ever tried it? I cannot find much about it but I read that it's basically coconut oil with Methi extracts and it has Jasmine extracts. I believe there is a version with rose extracts but I haven't seen that one. Is it worth to buy? What are the effects you got using it? Thank you! :)

I can't quite tell what it is by the label, but I'd be very careful about what you get at the Indian grocery store. Dabur and other products contain LOADS of chemicals, so read the labels carefully. If you want a good ayervedic oil, try henna sooq's cocoveda :)

I can't find an ingredients list for this oil so i can't really say. The reviews say it contains pure double filtered coconut oil....but "contains" can be very misleading. If you want methi hair oil you can soak the seeds in some coconut oil (or any other one you fancy) then filter out the seeds. Diamondbell's thread on the use of herbs has lots of great recipes in it.
There are lots of Ayurvedic oils available though, if you search the threads on oiling and Indian oils then you will find lots of information.

Thank you hennaphile (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/member.php?u=20934) & ChloeDharma (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/member.php?u=982)! I know, there are chemicals even in so-called natural oils. i am doubtful about this one in particular because it says it has Jasmine extract but we know that Jasmine extract is very expensive and this bottle sells for $1.99?

Oh well done, i searched for ages trying to find the exact ingredients! It never stops amazing me that websites think we don't need to know the ingredients and think we should be fine with "buy this because we say it's good"!
Sorry, rant over ;)
I've actually used a hesh jasmine hair oil and it has mineral oil as the first ingredient. I don't use it much on my hair, only once i think but no disasters. I mainly like it as a massage oil and for that it works very well.
If you like the small of an oil and want it more for protection and will keep it off the scalp and use SL/eS shampoo's then it's probably ok. Personall though i like a more nourishing oil that can be used on my scalp.
