Measuring Hair

I've looked around and can't find the instructions on how to measure your hair. I measured it last month how I thought I should but this month it was way shorter. He'p the blonde with hair turning the wise color!;)

Start in the middle of your forehead at your hair line and let the tape fall behind the center of your head to the ends of your hair. I usually have someone help me cuz it makes it much easier. :)

Right now I can measure my growth by my roots. I tried the tape measure over the head but each time I measured I got a different length.

measure with a tape- longest hair - root to the bottom- take a couple of meaurements not one.

But if you have curls, do you pull on them or not? For me it makes about five inches difference if i measure with or without pulling my hair. I imagine it's much more for some here.
